I think i will get the S2340M is the same but 23". But people say 21.5 1080p looks nicer, more detailed. I was looking at the "L" and the "S" $40 for just HDMI.

It works for gaming just fine, however if you've ever used to a monitor with extremely low response time, you may notice some ghosting. I personally haven't noticed any ghosting what so ever.

I noticed you made another video on the HP Pavilion 23BW, which one would you say is better? 21.5 to 23" isnt much of a difference to me i just want to know know which screen overall is a better buy. Also since u have the 23BW why did you buy this one(just Curious)?

It's the camera, it only films in 1080p @ 24fps.

If you want anything more than 21.5", 24" is the best since 23" looks a little weird in my opinion..

Dude HDMI/DVI is required for Digital Output not necessarily for only audio, on the other hand VGA out is analog and has lots of noise & interference, which makes it not ideal for viewing HD stuff.

The S2240L costs about $40 more than the S2240M, yet it uses the same panel and produces the same quality of video. You don't need HDMI unless your monitor has speakers built-in.

I'm think i will get the S2340M. What type of games do you play? I was looking around to see the difference between the "L" and the "S" to see why the price difference... $40 just for HDMI for a monitor come on!

Err...? Why your monitor has visible flickering on this video? Usually LCD panel doesn't show flickering when it showed into camera...

I personally enjoyed the 23BW more. I ended up keeping the 23BW. The matte finish and bezel design was much better in my opinion.

I know this i kind of an old video but I'm currently looking to purchese this monitor. I want your opinion on it after owning it for a while. Such as any noticeable input lagg or ghosting? I'm currently using some decently old TN LG Flatron Monitor and was looking to upgrade it. Also is the display overly glossy to the point of making it annoying to use/bad? My room is usually lit fairly well from outside light and my screen doesn't have any windows behind it. Looking any addiontal input would be great!

***** It's very glossy. It's tough to tell without physically seeing your room. As far as input lagg and ghosting, I did not notice any large difference between it and my ASUS monitor with a 2MS response time. Then again, I don't really play fast paced FPS games.

I get it for about $5 more .. and u need HDMI for full hd because some Players will not stream Full HD on a non-hdmi interface because it uses encryption through the wire to prevent piracy . If u r using it for something else its fine . I am looking to buy L model how does it fare ? do u see ghosting while gaming ???

I know this is a late respond but my thought would be that you cannot mount the monitor. It does not have VESA mounts.

This monitor is CRAP! not when it's working of coarse but give it about 3-4 months of daily use, and you will be dealing with Dell. I have gone through 3 monitors myself. I think it is beyond bad luck since all 3 monitors experienced the same side effects. I would not invest in this monitor or in Dell ever again.
