Dalma (IATA: ZDY) is an Emirati island located in the Persian Gulf approximately 42 kilometres (26 mi) off the coast of Abu Dhabi and 116 kilometres (72 mi) from Doha.

The population consists of around 4,811 inhabitants, most of whom are Qatari who have been granted United Arab Emirates (UAE) nationality.[citation needed] The island has many private farms for the ruling family of Abu Dhabi. The late ruler Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed al-Nahyan had a palace here. There are many oil field workers working on the island, some of whom fly in from the major cities. Delma Island is in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The island extends 9 km from north to south, 5 km from east to west, an island is volcanic and mountainous and arid rocky slopes completely. And to the south directly Delma was located a small island in the past that it is caused by the mother on the island peninsula was created artificial embankments.
Travel by land and Al-dobh
Those wishing to visit the island of Dalma can go by road to Jebel Dhanna (Ruwais road from Abu Dhabi), and at Jebel Dhanna is the port of the Dobh (the ship that carries passengers and cars to the island of Dalma), and there are times for the ship from 7 am to 7 pm.

Air travel
There are non- scheduled flights, (almost every day except Friday) from Abu Dhabi International Airport to the island of Dalma from Departure hall No. 3 (Abu Dhabi Air). The flight times are approximately at 12 noon and 4 pm and times may be changed according to passengers needs to travel. The passenger’s name and passport number must be registered in the airport office at 8 am on the day of travel.
