Hello from Germany. I've removed everything. Only the longer hose is still fitted. Petrol is running... after more than two liters!! I closed it with a pin. Normal? Will this stop? 😮 Regards

Strange. No it should only drip a little. The steel fuel lines only hold so much and with the car off the fuel pump isn’t pumping. Is the car on an incline or something?

So after some research there can be at times a siphon action and it will continue to drip. Try disconnecting the return fuel line at the pump. Let us know how it goes

Mission accomplished. Just put air into the line... then it's over.

I have replaced everything that fuel, coolant and electricity touches in my Delorean and if it sits on blacktop on a sunny day over 90 it will STILL have classic HS issues. The fuel in the tank just gets to hot. Changing to a Viton O ring in the FD is a must and help eliminate most of my fuel issues. My car has the air dam installed which helps keep the blazing hot air from the fans from blowing directly on to the fuel tank. Again, helps but stainless steel + aluminum engine + front radiator/rear engine + heat and sun = problems. Some claim no issues in 100+ summer temps which I say you won the lottery. Like the Pantera and other exotics, they simply do not like the heat and after throwing handfulls of cash at this issue with the D, I have simply just don't venture far in the summer and primarily drive only during fair weather.

Have you tried Dave McKeen’s hot start relay and solid state RPM relay with the hot fix?

Had to replace that pivot bolt for the shift linkage on mine, it broke and stuck in first gear. Have you guys had that issue?

Not yet (knock on wood)

I have all my parts ready to go. Did you have to drain the fuel completely out of the tank or was that small amount of draining in the video just from that line you cut?
@DeLoreanTECH2 жыл бұрын
Just from the line and what was in the accumulator. No draining of the fuel tank required

Seriously the most pain in the arse thing I had to change on my car . Lots of swearing involved

Indeed. Same. We did a lot of editing on this video. A lot more than usual!
