Going to Atlanta from San Diego, might honestly take a detour and go up to LAX first just for that A350. Such good sounding engines.

Another great video & a very steady hand! Flew in & out of LAX for more than 25 years, and I enjoyed every minute of doing it! BTW, the next time you depart going south, you can continue the ATC audio, after the flight gets handed off to L.A. Center. The SOCAL departure frequency 134.35 is one of the few LAX freqs that are unavailable on liveatc. After that, the L.A. Center freqs to at least Palm Springs should be: 132.85 (low alt) 119.95 (high alt) 127.52 (Ontario area) The next freq, which would be: 134.47 (Palm Springs to Blythe), is also unavailable on liveatc at the present time.

Thanks for the tip! I am always on the hunt for extending the ATC audio on the flight! I will check those frequencies out.

That's my next dream flight right there. Delta One between LAX & ATL. Will it ever happen...don't know! Not sure if I'm to happy with DL right now even though they are still my #1. American's changes to their AAdvantage program which I did try for just a bit solidified as to why it's best to stay away from them. And United, I've had issues with them for more than a decade after they never refunded me on a refundable ticket.

@@jacksonf4 Glad you enjoyed the taxi! Definitely a good time to do some planespotting. Personally I like using the time stamp feature so people can skip the taxi part of the video. I like to leave the taxiing in the video for those who enjoy it, like yourself! Thanks for watching!

By the sound of the engines, I believe the A350 is powered by the RR Trent 1000, judging by the buzz saw sound. Is this correct.

How you get engine shot with tower comm? Is this a shot angle from pilot's cabin? Or is this from passenger window with a radio tuned to tower frequency?

I think this is a simulation, not an actual recording. I've flown in and out of LAX many, many times and can promise you the spaces between the tarmacs are not green-painted paved areas but are actual grass, for starters. Also, a passenger sitting in a seat with a backward view of the engines would not be able to keep the engines of the plane steady in camera view while the airframe of the cabin flexed in camera view. I have also never, ever seen a jet engine with a painted blade rotor base, why would the plane manufacturer paint black/white strips there? The pilots can't see them, so they serve zero purpose except in a simulation to dramatize the ways the blades if the engine vary during different times during flight. All that being said, it's a well done simulation.

@loragunning5394 Sorry to dispute these comments, but I believe that this video is the real deal. As a retired commercial pilot who has flown in & out of LAX for many years, I can say that the empty spaces between the taxiways on the north side of the airport are concrete or asphalt, that are surrounded with green painted ovals (check out the satellite views of LAX on google earth or map). To be fair, the south side ovals do have some dirt and plants within them. As far as the steadiness of the camera is concerned, IMHO the person filming it has a very steady hand. There are several YT channels which showcase passenger airline flights, in which the photographer has a very steady hand. The "painted blade rotor base" is actually called a "spinner". It is painted, usually with a spiral line, to alert ramp agents that the engine is running. This warns them to stay away from the engine intake, so that they don't get sucked in.
