Delta Air Lines Flight 2694 (Boeing 717): Atlanta GA to Jackson MS ***FULL FLIGHT WITH GPS***

Welcome aboard again! This flight starts from Atlanta and arrives in Jackson Mississippi aboard one of Delta's Boeing 717s that was once flown by AirTran. This video includes the full flight from pushback to wheel stop; flying time was only 49 minutes - about 10 of which were spent at cruise altitude which was only 28,000 feet. I was lucky enough to get a seat that was not completely over the wing since I booked it rather late so my view of landmarks on the ground was a bit obscured. Skies were partly cloudy so there are some nice cloudscapes while descending! This was recorded on a GoPro Hero 5 Black and this time the GPS data did capture so I have speed, direction, and altitude on the video. **GPS altitude reads a bit higher than pressure altitude that aircraft use.
***CORRECTION: the graphic in the video says my seat was 24E but it was actually 24A.

Bruce this is one of the best take off videos I've seen. I could see the turn before takeoff. Not much time before the airplane in front took off and the one you were on took off! I wish Delta still had all the MD 88's and I hope they keep the 717's for quite some time.

ME TOO! As a professional musician, I can't take the amount of gear I normally would, on the MD aircraft, when going out on a CRJ, or worse, the ERJs. Have to plane-side check most of my gear, when I find out, AFTER walking the jetway bridge, I'm getting on one of those cursed, tiny beasts, and have to hand off a 2K$ instrument, and other gear to those savage baggage handlers. LOL Can't abide those converted biz-jets. #bring_back_big_planes. LOL
