Delta Air Lines Lockheed L1011 N1731D Landing at Fort Lauderdale [Part 1]

A regular flight home after a tour in the 80s.On Final I could see my home below.I remember one time about 3 minutes before we crossed I-95 the pilot hit full power like a fighter jet taking off,i said cool shit.When we landed on my way out I said to the Captain,great landing I loved it.He laughed and said ya better than crashing into Atlantis.For those who don't know,Atlantis Is/was a water park just to the south of the Airport.man I miss the TriStar L1011,a sound of its own.

"You have to sit up for landing, sir. Sorry. Even though you're ....." I could not catch the last two words. Sounds like "even though you're by the exit" - but I dont think he was in an exit row. She was talking to the man in the seat in front of me.
