@2:15:42 LOL He obviously couldn’t talk about this in any depth, but I would highly encourage people to read up on the Battle Khasham in 2018 Deir ez-Zor, Syria.. A Force of 500 Russian Wagner Group and Syrian Government Forces attacked a staging area of JSOC and conventional forces and it became known as one of the 1st open skirmishes between Russian and U.S. forces since the Cold War.. The CAG and Rangers with their CCTs killed an estimated 200 plus enemy Wagner mercenaries, 150 plus Syrian Forces and wounded an additional 300 in combination.. The US didn’t take a single causality. That’s pretty fuckin cool this dude was actually there

What I don't understand about O'Neil is, if he's been lying all this time - why on Earth would he do that? My point being that even his teammates has said he was a "solid operator" and considering his many decorations/medals - why ruin such a legacy which is in itself impressive enough? Especially considering there were other people in the room who'd be able to factually contradict him. I just don't get it. Real shame. Real mindboggling.
@alexander1902
@alexander1902 Жыл бұрын
@@Yoshimurha for money. He left before his 20 and wanted to be the first one to cash in. He had an “okay” reputation on the teams but given two DUI arrests and one drunken disorderly since his ETS I don’t know if I’d call him stable. Dude is really full of himself for doing an OP anyone in the SOF community could’ve done. Not like he was dodging gunfire and mortars in Tora Bora.
@Yoshimurha
@Yoshimurha Жыл бұрын
@@alexander1902 my understanding is that he was more than "okay". Considering two silverstars and being a team leader which even Brent says requires skills, and being deployed numerous times with devgru (which is a feat in itself) I would believe he was more than "okay". As mentioned, in the same tweet where presumably his fmr teammates revealed that it was "Red" who killed UBL they say in the same sentence that he "was a solid operator". I get the money aspect of it, but anyone can figure out that a lie like that can't survive scrutiny. So why take such a enormous risk and tarnish his otherwise (seemingly) destinguished service? He could've done anything to make money with that background and servicerecord is my point - why crreate such an enormous lie that probably will kill any good reputation or servicerecord he ever had? He will get cruscified and sued down into the gutter, no less explain to his ftiends and family. Why go down that path in the first place? It was inevitable that his story would be qustioned. Real shame on otherwise what seem to have been a good career. But how come the NSW or Adm. MacRaven never challenged O'Neils story? Didn't they have cameras on the operators during the raid recording the developments?

@johntaylor4513 these SAS/SBS meat riders still live in the 60s and 70s. JSOC has far surpassed UKSF in capabilities since even the Gulf War. They ignore that UKSF kit and Gear has emulated US for over 3 decades now. Also how UKSF has been reorganized to emulate JSOC. They even just created a Ranger Regiment less than 4 years ago

I have worked directly with the FBIs regional Tactical Unit about 15 years ago, whatever the units name now... and I would agree that they are normal dudes, most with no SOF experience. They were criminal investigators as their full time gig, and Tac was a side duty. I was always under the impression that the national level HRT guys were a full time unit and primarily made of former Tier 1 and 2 operators. In fact I applied and was denied employment and a contracted opportunity to try out for HRT because my resume lacked SOF experience. I will try to find my denial letter, but if anyone else could comment upon HRTs lack of former SOF, I would love the info.

One correction - non-profits do not need to ask for money. A non-profit has to be is organized for the purpose of a collective, public, or social benefit instead of being organized for the profit of its owners. So you could have an entirely competitive business whose profits are dedicated entirely to the declared collective, social, or public benefit and that organization would be a non-profit.

Just curious, would you tell MAC V SOG Green Beret guys to walk 40 miles before offering you guys a greeting?

What Brent tucker means is if you're a Green beret wait tell you're invited over to our door, Don't just turn up! But if you're 22SAS you don't need a invitation, you're welcome anytime

I don't think I follow him in his storytelling - is "Green Berets" also known as "Special Forces" the same thing as "Delta Force" also known as "The Unit"? I always thought they were different units alltogether?

@valdivia1234567 Жыл бұрын
No, SF is its own entity. The Unit is its own entity. Different chains of command. Of course SF guys contribute a lot of the guys operating in the Unit.

To make it simple Green Berets are SF Tier 2 just the same as Navy Seal and Delta or the Unit or Cag are Tier 1 same as DEVGRU

Guys. You have such a great podcast. Great guests, great stories. You guys have to take it to the next level and stop the zoom calls. Fly the guests out, put them in a hotel and get them in the studio! You guys are not doing the show justice. The quality needs to be up to par with the guests and stories. The lag in conversation and the audio quality is not there yet. STEP IT UP!

I need to have a two pint conversation with this gentleman. 'Mista Mista, can I take goat?' 😂. Around 1:10 making things attainable 🥂. I cut myself short and should have punched the tickets to attain, to be a part of the teams. 😊 The commentary regarding aggressiveness :.. appropriately dubbed 'Cowboy Syndrome? ".. The mission must shift according to the nature of the enemy. A disconnect of such intelligence, is ignoring evolving battle-space. Sorry for the lack of time reference on the last addition. Who da F is Rob O'Neil? Reno SWAT was one of the guys I met in Taqrit (contractor). I've been wamting to work with them ever since.
