Haven’t finished the video but it’s interesting that (at 1:25) he says in regards to delta “they want to know WHY you’re around them” they’re the best, they know it, and there must be a reason you’re in the same room with them. From the interviews I’ve seen a delta guy is super details oriented but also doesn’t lose sight of the big picture… he’s gonna find out why, or pass it along to someone that knows why, but he also already respects you due to the fact that you’re there in that room. I’m a civilian so this all comes from interviews like this but damn am I glad they’re on our side and thank you Dave for making sure these oral histories aren’t lost into the ether.

Devgru don't ask why because you are coming from a higher baseline (other lower tier seal teams so not just anybody in the military ) so they know you must be qualified at an acceptable level in order to make it this far. If your Command says you have to work with tier 2 or civilian intelligence or regular military in whatever mission, you have to. That's why they train over and over. @@deathfire096 Weird post. I don't see any evidence they said they had any problem working with others. It sounded like they wanted to KNOW, and knowing things is really the major thing Delta brings to the table as opposed to lower tier warriors. They are a much more mental side. Nobody is arguing they need to gatekeep who they will work with. They are just expressing deep interest from what I can tell. You also sound like you assume I was not in the military, which is a false assumption. I'm not sure if these videos trigger you somehow, maybe ptsd or something? Maybe your one of those old warriors that has returned home and still needs to fight everyone because you aren't positioned to fight real enemies anymore? I think neither of those Seals bodies were ever recovered. Seal Team Six only recruits from other Seal Teams because the maritime war skills needed are unique. SEALs are only standard spec ops for rest of the Navy. They are not that elite compared to the army, an organization that has way more units that do tactical things. Every time NSW competes against the army in shooting competitions the army beats them and it’s not even close most of the time. And this is despite the fact that the Navy SEALs have the longest sniper course of all branches. The Navy has nothing to compare well with the army when it comes to formal patrol courses and schools that teach small unit tactics (which are infantry tactics conducted at the squad and platoon level). The SEA, AIR, LAND concept in SEAL has more to do with special method of insertion. It certainly doesn’t mean SEALs are as capable on land as army light infantry or USASOC units. Army infantry has been doing land warfare since 1770’s. Navy SEALs didn’t come into existence until 1962. When SEALs want to get better on land they go to army schools (ranger school, RSLC, SFARTEAC, Sapper school, etc.). The army doesn’t send anyone to navy schools to get better on land.
