In practice runs, after drilling a plain old regular sheet of glass then tapping the hold to create a mini-bullseye, it created a huge star-crack in the glass. Am I doing something wrong or should I expect the laminated windshield glass to behave properly and not created a huge star crack?

Never set up the machine with the suction cup under the damaged area , resin pouring all over the cup
