To all the people saying this sounds like generic country, there is something called cross-genres. Not every Delta Rae song is country, not every song is gothic, not every song is gospel. They do it all, and they do it SO WELL. This is what I love most about this band!

Jen Hues me too, I love songs where Liz takes the lead like this one, and I love the country vibe, I personally love it all, plus you have to imagine it in a concert, they have to change up the feeling of each song, they all have their place 🎶🎶🤠🎶🎶

People love that though and want them to stick with their old thing and want them to be predictable. They should always do new things and change it up even if people get mad about it they don't give a fuck what people want. They do what they want and have a lot of control. I want them to do more songs like this too.

This song is so beautiful. It has this deep and soulful southern feeling to this. I felt that. They still have a unique sound and in this song too and it's very unique and emotional. One of their bests songs ever if I'm being honest. They haven't changed their sound they are just trying different things which is a good thing and they should continue that. Also another thing no this song is NOT generic. This has country, soul, gospel, and gothic mixed together and has a lot of emotional and dark side to it. This is what they've always been doing, trying something different and it worked out for them. They are doing a brilliant job too. Perfect song for them and I can hear their harmonies throughout the song and it wasn't pushed aside don't worry. Just pay close attention to it like I did. I paid extra attention to the song.

I like how all these songs have a nice mix of modern pop and country and this one sounds especially nice. All these songs y'all are releasing share a common theme, lol. This one kind of reminds me of an Unlike Any Other sequel.

Okay I've never claimed to be a country music fan but I think I know to some degree what a hit album is. From the songs I've heard from this new release so far, It's every bit as good as what currently tops the country charts. And this band has paid its dues.

I love "Bottom Of The River" and it's definitely not country but, that was the category it was in when I first came across it. My introduction to the band and I thought then.., country? I love Delta Rae to death, and Ill support all of their endeavors, and this was a great song. But Im missing the deep soulful southern feeling that their older songs had. I really want them to succeed, and I know that songs like this will do well on the country charts, but I miss their old sound. Of course the songwriting is great, and Liz is an incredible singer, but Im also missing how they used to rotate leads and the harmonies are more in the background now than they used to be.

I agree 100%. I miss all of those things. But I just saw them in concert again and have to say these songs they just released are amazing live and actually sound like the Delta Rae we know and love. Not sure why the recording is so lackluster.

Your new songs are cool, they sound nice, but your own unique sound is what makes the difference, and that sound wasn’t there. The end of this song is a little bit of that sound, and that’s why I liked this one more than the other two. Keep it up guys!

Again, another perfectly nice, generic song that could be sung by literally any band. Harmony is pushed to the background, and I really miss them switching it up with other the other members who are just as talented as Liz. Going to see them on Sat and actually not looking as forward to it as I usually am because I don't want an entire concert of these songs that all starting to sound the same.
