Amazed that the MD-90 is totally grounded. Larger and more fuel efficient than MD-88 and done forever. A few MD-80s are used a freighters but MD-90s done for good. Surprised.

I never got the chance to fly on this plane, these IAEV2500s always will sound awesome. The closest I was is the 717. Thank you for uploading this! Long live the maddog

Man, I can't actually believe the MD-90 is no more. May their legacy live on. At least we still have them on the A320s

I remember my local airport Miami international. Its use to be full of maddogs of all type of airlines. and also of 3 engines like the md-10 and 727. They use to make airports look very elegant at that time. Now we have a bunch of wing mounted engine aircraft. Which is boring seeing it every day. I really miss those old body aircraft

At 5:52 the sound gets muffled. Any idea why? My GoPro does the same thing sometimes. Excellent video! It was a sad day for the whole aviation world.

I've heard it's the wind reduction setting that causes the muffled sound. The airplane's cabin pressurization might be tricking the sensor or microphone or whatever.

I have been on Hawaiian’s 717s every once a month in the summer vacation. They have RR BR715 engines but kinda identical to the IAE engines.
