I do like, that they made them fight in anime and how it went. But it made people underestimate Delta's strength. Like she was beaten by John Smith. But Alpha forced Cid to drop John Smith act. In manga and novel tho... Delta instantly knew he was Cid. And rushed him, dodging all threads and... hugged him. She was very capable of avoiding threats and closing distance.

The funniest thing about this is that in the manga, Cid knew Shadow Garden would send Delta after John Smith. So to prepare he took a deep bath and doused himself in perfume like a whore in a heat wave in order to overcome her sense of smell so that he could fool her and continue his little roleplay- AND IT STILL WASN'T ENOUGH! Her sense of smell was so sharp she still figured out John Smith was her beloved boss.

Even that wolf guy broke them and we do get shadow saying that it was just steel after all and proceeds to beat the shit out of the wolf guy. But this fight makes the wires strong enough to withstand delta, which they're not. So manga was, as the ln, more consistent as a whole.
