In this Deltarune mod, I have a crazy weapon that can KILL enemies. Noelle may be able to freeze enemies, but with a lethal weapon that's able to do crazy amounts of damage, it makes for a playthrough of Deltarune like you've never seen before!

Oh yeah, I just wanted to make it clear that this is technically a modified version of the current Twisted Sword that's in the game files. The main differences are it has a lot more damage than normal because I assume Kris would be much stronger at the end of a weird route similar to Frisk/Chara at the end of genocide, and the current version of the Twisted Sword in the game files doesn't outright kill enemies, but the fact that it has "Trance" always made me assume that it will (thus why it does so in this mod). The Twisted Sword will definitely be extremely strong when we find it in-game but wanted to clear up any confusion that the version you see here isn't exactly alike. The reason Lancer doesn't die in the Susie v. Lancer fight is because if you actually DO (theoretically) deplete his HP, you'll get softlocked. Also Spamton's [Bluelight Specil] caps all damage at 10 (excluding Noelle's attacks I assume) so that's why he survived. This also reminds me a lot of the Undertale mod with the gun, which also did an absurd amount of damage.

Well... You can't even craft it during the weird route since you NEED the thorn ring to craft it and a pure crystal which location to obtain is unknown today.

In aborted Snowgrave, you can get the thorn ring and have it. If you take both shadow crystals from killing both Jevil, and Spamton Neo, you can talk to Seam, whom will talk to you about it, and nothing else happens. The pure crystal cannot be obtained.

Interestingly, the "trance" effect has a downward arrow, implying that while Kris has that equiped they are less susceptible to the player's manipulation. Now, the fact that they do such massive amounts of damage when they should theoretically be able to resist the player's input more is.... Concerning, to say the least.

Information gathered from within Undertale’s code suggests that Toby Fox wanted the game to delete itself at the end of a Genocide Route, but gave up on it after not being able to get it to work. Actually we could see the death scene of enemies previously. If you abort the weird route at Berdly fight, then go back to touch the cheese and cast snowgrave at the fight against mice, the mice will show how darkners dies (body turns red and disintegrate) It is quite interesting that Toby made a death animation for Susie, does this means Susie may die in the future?

i just realized something, the twisted sword is one of kris's weapons, but you cant get it yet, it's also obvious it's a snowgrave weapon, so it will most likely be a fatal weapon, which leads me to think... will we have to "snowgrave" our team members? will we have to kill susie, and possibly ralsei? which would cause us to HAVE to create the twisted sword because there will be no more people left in your team, which would also make me think you're gonna have to kill noelle somehow to be able to take her thorn ring, it will also probably be at the very end of the game, so you'll be all alone in chapter 7.

B-but, the Twisted Sword *doesn't* increase your magic, and it only boosts your attack by 16. And it definitely doesn't kill enemies. (Trust me, I tried). Turns out the enemies don't "die" when they run out of HP, they need to have a special condition called "fatal." Which... I didn't know anything about until the ghost cheese video sent me down the weirdest rabbithole.

Something tells me that, were there to be an actual alternative ending to the game, it likely would require a bunch of niche and arguably hidden game states (Ex. Thorn Ring without Noelle killing Berdly, and other states like this in future chapters) to craft items like the Twisted Sword in order to properly defeat a final boss, and achieve that alternative ending.

There was some one who tested snowgrave on all enemies, and most die a similar way to this (except Berdly in the alley). I also like to think there are multiple Lancers, filling for each other once they die.

Mystic Slime's comment already clears up some things, but I wanted to mention some smaller details. The Twisted Sword normally doesn't increase Magic, it normally only increases Attack by 16. Some enemies use a different animation when you defeat them like K. Round, Susie, and Lancer (except in the Basement fight), so hitting them with a "fatal" attack wouldn't play the death animation. Lancer in the Basement fight isn't normally invincible, but ending that fight without the actual cutscene teleports Kris inside a wall of the room to the left, where you would be softlocked.

You need the thorn ring to craft it which means this can only be crafted on an aborted weird route (redemption), and plus, the trance symbol is a down arrow instead of an up one, meaning Kris has *more* agency with the twisted sword. Edit: "Supposedly has massive amounts of power" It's +16 to atk... not that big of a deal, the everybody weapon is much better (+12 atk, +6 df, +6 mg). This is just a case of people placing MUCH more importance and power on certain items than they have, and repurposing items to have a more sinister purpose that they aren't supposed to have

10:20 if I'm correct, I believe jevil has a total of 3500 health, which for normal terms is ALOT, but you have the twisted sword, which deals, I would assume at weakest, a whopping 1 million damage, if not then close to 1 million at about 980K or a tad bit more. and no boss in this game really seems to go above 4000 hp, not even spamton so no matter how weak, jevil is insta killed, but of course, as he would say "THIS BODY CANNOT BE KILLED!" So of course, he didn't disentagrate.

Here’s what I think how to get the sword Do a snowgrave route and buy the thornring from spamton, then abort snowgrave by keeping the ring for yourself, and then you have thornring Full crystal isn’t located yet but my theory is to get all 6 or 7 shadow crystals and maybe fuse them all to get the full crystal Then full crystal and thornRing and you’d get it
