Make em stand out, write a different story, don't make it too similar, but make them all have in common with one thing. Someone got contact and things went wrong, and have a toy theme going. That's the mindset I have when I created Pete. For example: Jevil (Jack in the box) - He became so chaotic to the point of him becoming destructive. This change made him crazy, but he does not seem to worry too much about it. He may prefer freedom over a cage, but he'd still be crazily joyous regardless of what he gets. (Accepts Fate) Spamton (Puppet on a string) - Lost it all when he lost contact to a certain person. He lost his room, his wealth, his friends and has to live all alone in the dump, to desperately try to go back on top. He thought all was lost and had nowhere to go, until a Lightner showed their presence to him. An opportunity was given where he can cheat his way out of his fate (Neo). But he realized that he can't cheat it just yet, it'd require a soul. (Strongly Denies Fate) Pete n VB (Doll with a voice box) - From a protagonist to a successful show, to a forgotten actor to a now cancelled one. He accepts the fact that his show was cancelled, but he can't bare the thought that his creator/animator's passion show was taken away from him. Which filled Pete with fury and hatred. He vowed to take revenge on the studio by burning it down to the ground. But he can't proceed with his plans, if he knows that there are Lightners lurking around. So for now, he'll act like a delusional cowboy who thinks his "western cartoon" was a real event, to trick the Lightners into bringing him to his locked studio room. To take them all out silently. (Accepts Fate)

I dunno about "modelled" but it was definitely inspired from it. I tried to translate that old monochromatic feel like alot of old cartoons do, and take inspiration from the silly Toby Fox shitpost, whilst also make him unique enough to stand out from the rest of the secret bosses. I suppose the main inspiration when it came to the coloring was from this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y2HZcohqmLyfhtUsi=9tAQSzGUNrsEr1Cb it really gave me a good idea on how to color him.

I deeply appreciate how while he has reasons for doing what he does, he's downright evil, not just insane. He puts on an act of goodness and needing help to lure you into his house to kill you. i think its incredibly impressive how much you managed to turn the "friend inside me" gimmick into an actual thing that could exist with in deltarune. The way you applied it is so clever. That little "there's a friend inside us all" line really sells it for me. The way you also manage to tie it into Kris with the player, and the implication that Pete may have some sort of gaster "friend" inside him is a really cool concept. Great idea all around.

I think I got a good backstory for this guy. Pete 'n' VB is the ghost of a long dead darkener from a western style TV show that was canceled decades ago. His spirit lingers on in the dark world, full of regret that his show didn't see through to the end and feels like he failed his home as its sheriff and that he failed the show's creator. So when Pete meets Kris for the first time, he uses them as an opportunity to finally fulfill what he couldn't when he was alive, to return to his show and finish his story. As far as Pete is concerned, whether he wins or loses to the lighteners, this is his final battle. When the battle ends, he thanks Kris for humoring him with one final battle, and he disappears. The spirit of the west finally resting in peace.

This is real damn nicely done! Though I'd make a suggestion- change the green bullet to another color, since Green is a healing attack color in deltarune it's a bit confusing to see. And Dark Green is technically used for Spamton NEO, but not as a harm, but as a wall during the telephone attack. Not sure what color would work better, though.

Fully green projectiles are used for healing, but under the green soul, anything that got green and white within are parry-able. White projectiles are often represented as hurtful, so a mix indicates that it isn't safe and it requires you to parry it to get rid of it. As if the projectile itself got a shield.
