He's already established himself as a figure integral to the story: -Nearly outright stated to have caused Spamton to become what he is, and is implied to have done the same to JEVIL -He's _HEAVILY_ implied to be the Vessel Creation Guy, and the guy who takes over Toby Fox's Twitter right before a new chapter comes out. -Entry 17 talks extensively about a "darkness" that "keeps growing". -Clam Girl turns into a Gaster Follower if you meet her in the Switch version and talk to her during the pacifist epilogue. All she talks about is her neighbor "Suzy". I can keep going.

i imagine that the shards you get from the secret bossfights from each chapter will be used in the last chapter to get gaster in a phsyhical form or reach to him using the shards and fight him ( he would have more than 1 phase,like 3) in genocide you will distroy him in pacifist you would confront him and overcome your fears both genocide and pacifist will get the same ending as toby said that deltarune the ending will be that gaster will lose the battle and everything affected by him would be back. the player will lose control over kris
