The hit sound at 3:37 is really interesting to me - I also recognized that as the hit sound for the Ballet Shoes in UNDERTALE. Between that and the dances from the Sweet Cap'n Cakes fight, it's kind of surprising how many references to Peanuts made it into these games. I guess they were an original inspiration for the MOTHER series, after all, but it's still not something I expected to come to light.

Is it crazy that I already have nostalgia for Chapter 2? I mean, maybe it's because my family and I were on a couple day trip and I got to play it on my laptop in the hotel we stayed at. I remember getting the ending late at night on the couch (my bed for the night) and being so surprised. The sounds, the music, the characters, and everything else mixed with that trip honestly just fueled my nostalgia tanks. Going to hotels on trips is always fun, comforting, and nostalgic to me. Even being in the car with all the stuff we brought piled behind/next to me as I'm playing Deltarune on my laptop. Two great memories mixed into one :)

Very impressed how people managed to find this many references from toby fox games. I've played through all 3 mother series, undertale and deltarune, noticed some sfx are from mother 2 but didn't expect this much :p Great video!

Some of the are pretty obvious like some of the Mario sound effects, but I wasn't expecting a Hat in Time. XD And Earthbound containing most of the sound effects from before is pretty obvious knowing Toby worked on the Earthbound Halloween Hack. And I'm surprised how you nailed the reference of Sans' voice so well! Most people just play the clip and call it a day, but you actually repeated it accurately!

It is possible to use sound effect's labeled for public domain use and it is possible to change a sound effect enough to claim it your own. It is also possible to go into a tracker and re-create the same sound effect's while also not knowing they we're related to another game; which happened to me once, had friends point it out to me on over a dozen times. XD

I hadn't played Deltarune myself, but I watched Alpharad play it. I was certain HE had added the SuperMarioWorld soundeffect in Queen's exit with Ralsei. I can't believe Toby Fox dared use such a recognizable Nintendo Soundeffect like that
