I think it would make a lot of sense for the knight to be Asriel, or at least a character that looks very similar to him. Because Ralsei is the character Asriel pretended to be when Kris and him would play together. This Asriel, though, could represent the older Asriel, not being able to play with Kris anymore, and, effectively, destroying the imaginary world they played in, which is exactly what the Knight would be trying to do, destroy the Light world.

@@Amero2005 Well it doesn't look like a final battle does it? Nothing's resolved and the knight got away. It is possible that what he meant was "battle with the final boss" because the knight is the final boss, but not the last battle with him. I find more likely than it being the conclusion.

@@Amero2005 Whaaaat? Nothing points in this direction, is there? I am more on the side of "the Knight is Gaster, or a part of Gaster", considering G's theme is spread throughout chapter 1, and Jevil's dialogue allude's to it too. There's of course the theory of Papyrus being, too, a part of Gaster, but no more. Remember that, as of now, no characters from the overworld have been seen in the Dark World (except maybe Ralsei/Asriel, but considering Kris did not recognize him directly, I'd say it's more an alter ego than the real Asriel)
