6:48 - This moment is poetic because this is what Susie said to Kris when she threatened to beat him up back when they first met. Now, when the King says it to Kris, it's like Susie is seeing herself, and in the back of her mind she's realized that she was no different from the King not too long ago; that this was who she once was. Because of this, not only is she upset that her friend is getting hurt, but she's especially angry on a personal level, which you can tell from this being the first time we see both her eyes along with her gritting teeth. So when she attacks, she isn't just lashing at the King, she's lashing at her former self. This moment is meant to remind us of when we first met a character, and to show how they contrast now to back then. A perfect example of textbook character growth, and testament to Toby Fox's writing capabilities! Well done!

Deltarune somehow gave off a lost yet eerie feeling, with Kris's name being probably an anagram for "Risk" Especially in a situation where Ralsei tells a prophecy about an cataclysm, yet some we meet especially Seam, don't seem concerned about preventing the end of the world. and how the King was so deadset into killing the heroes he used Ralsei's compassion again them. Strangely enough Jevil warns the Trio of a nightmare awakening in their hearts and how he and the King mentions a Knight.

I got an ending other than that one. In my ending, Ralsei put the king to sleep, then out of nowhere Lancer urged me to run away while Ralsei showed his face and said goodbye. I damaged the king too but got the ending from the video here. From what I've put together, yours was different because you let Susie scare someone away, which is the closest thing to "killing" a monster in Delta Rune. That probably locked you out of this "pacifist" ending shown in the video (although it's clear that one of Delta Rune's themes is that your choices DON'T matter, unlike in Undertale - the endings are quite similar either way.)

When in battle with King, you're able to CHECK him and, if you do, you learn that he turned this way upon being abandoned by the Lightners ("Abandoned by the Lightners, his heart became cracked with hatred."). I believe that, like Lancer, King can be turned good, only in a later chapter. The Knight, though... HE'S truly evil.

I liked the king because he's the only character in this whole universe (perhaps except for Flowey or genocide run Frisk) who's truly evil and that we can all hate, without feeling bad about it. I don't think the King is really evil. To me, it seems more that he's just so convinced that the Lightners are evil that he just won't listen to anything anyone says. Notice how immediately after tricking them and gaining the upper hand again, he goes to Kris and immediately assumes that they still want to condemn them, and when the crowd lifts him up and is holding him, he tries to tell them that the Lightners are their enemies.

Also, instead of outright disposing of Lancer as soon as he realized he didn't hate the Lightners, he actually took the time to talk to him, and attempted to change his mind. He could have just tossed him off the roof to begin with, so he didn't, so that shows there's at least SOME semblance of care King has for his son.

Sounds a bit like what Hitler said to trick a country.

So! To get this ending, you have to warn all enemies you come across about Susie attacking. This doesn't include neither K. Round battles though, nor does it include the battle with Lancer (even though Susie is on her own) Once you reached the castle you need to go into the rooms with doorways liked a Diamond, a Heart and a Spade. Then you have to go talk to all the monsters there. The monsters should forgive you. Talk to *ALL* of them, just to be sure. Then you should be able to fight the king and get this ending.
