@@polocatfan It's actually not Materia, but the record label for the collab song that was mentioned in the Newsletter. The old version of this video had that song as a backing track, but after the video had accrued like 21k views, THEN I got the copyright claim. :/

One detail I saw pointed out is that Papyrus is giving Mew Mew cat food. In his valentine card he said "DEAR VALENTINE, IF I KEPT YOU IN MY SHED I WOULD FEED YOU CAT FOOD INSTEAD OF DOG FOOD!" Coincidence? ...probably but there's a chance

I think the most interesting part of the newsletter is the flowers that Papyrus is watering. Of the 4 (excluding Flowey) each flower is a different color based on a human soul, expect that both yellow and green aren’t present. Yellow was the soul mechanic used in Ch. 2, so maybe Ch. 3 will use the green soul?

@@WhoStoleKirya73 Well the definition of mantle is more based on a piece of clothing rather than a shield, but it can also be used as a verb meaning “to cover something” so maybe it’s more like a full on magic body armor.

I was going to say that since the green flower is absent and since ch2 Brings the yellow soul it's gone from the flower line so is the green soul so going by this logic any soul that was already used will be out of the line and flowey will replace the Absent soul with himself

Yeah, sorry about that! ;; I knew a newsletter was coming soon so I wanted to get this out beforehand to avoid confusion. I was just really burned out when the last version got copyright claimed and I also didn't wanna undercut my big leitmotif video that had released just before the claim hit.

As for the July Newsletter, Toby said in the last newsletter he expects Chapter 4 to be “about halfway crushed by a steamroller” by the time the next one comes out, so we may possibly get a release date in the July one, I sure hope so anyway.

I guess something I thought to mention, Susie's line about Kris' family could maybe imply that Asgore shows up in Chapter 3 as well? I think a potential Chapter 4 dark world is more likely, but I think it is worth mentioning.

a thought thats crossed my mind after seeing asgore's flowers is the order in which theyre placed. they could be foreshadowing the order of the soul types thats gonna be used in the future chapters for the secret bosses? its most likely not the case since the green flower doesnt appear, but its still interesting to think about nontheless.

Apologies for confusion. I thought the May in the title would be enough, on top of it being listed as a remaster. The old video had to be taken down for copyright issues. >/ the annoying part is it didn't get claimed until over a week after the release, so it put me in an annoying position of trying disputes with no avail.

0:21 I'm most likely be going to far with this...But what if the flowers represent the secret bosses? I know that sounds crazy because that would imply deltarune wouldn't have the green soul...But, hear me out. Chapter 1 is red, 2 is yellow and based on this 3 would be purple, 4 would be cyan, 5 would be orange, 6 would be blue (I crave for bone dudes) and 7 would be red again.

@@lillii9119 No? You do realise that when I say "read" I'm referring to flowey, right? Cuz like, in Asgore's shop there's no red flower, but there's Flowey...Which now that I think about it, seeing how Flowey doesn't have a soul, could imply the final boss could either be a goner or a titan/darkner that breaks the conventions of how the soul mechanics work. Outside of that, I don't know where I got the colors wrong. We already know the secret bosses on Chapters 1 and 2 and in the newsletter the color of flowers is purple, cyan, orange, blue and flowey!

Thought: in Undertale it’s implied that the yellow flowers got to the ruins / the castle garden by being stuck to Chara’s clothes. People have always wondered what object Ralsei represents - perhaps it’s flower seeds stuck to Kris’ clothes? Another possibility is that this is foreshadowing Ralsei’s appearance in a flower shop Dark World - or both.

Maybe at some point I'll discuss UTY in a video. The video I'm working on is already pretty packed with the examples I'm using from UTDR, Persona, the Mario RPGs, and Pokemon, though (and I am trying to branch out into not just being a UTDR channel but multiple focuses).
