I imagine considering humans hurt monsters so mercilessly. The nothing can hurt anyone anymore was initially followed by “becoming invincible.” And we know Chara’s plan was to obliterate that village and break the barrier. And utilize the 7 human souls. Perhaps they thought the way to make a world where no one can hurt anyone anymore is by waging war on humanity. Something Asriel noted was going to happen in pacifist. That way they get rid of those who cause them and monsters pain. And considering how god like you get with seven human souls to the point you can destroy the entire undertale world. I don’t think humans would’ve stood a chance hence why they searched to be invincible

i just checked this out and the name of the chapter 3 image is "ch3_introarea" the intro area basically where we will wake up in the dark world (presumably the couch we were sleeping in), the chapter 4 image however is titled "ch4_flashlight". as for the cup dude it's literally just labeled "climbing_cup" lol, however this cup might be an object at the church dark world because alvin mentions that the church service offers fruit juice.

It’s interesting how Chara not only wants to maximize their own power but seemingly empower everyone else, because if everyone has max stats, no one can hurt anyone anymore. Maybe that’s why they wanted to use their full power against the humans too, so that monsterkind could all have human souls and become invincible. But also that letter is so sweet and sad 😔

Power of SPAMTON is honestly my new favorite song ever. It explores a different side of Spamton never really shown in his final theme BIG SHOT is happy and bombastic, while this song sounds desperate and sinister. And when you get to the Don't Forget part, it feels hopeless and broken. Much like Spamton himself. It honestly fits him just as well as BS so I'd love if Toby went back and completed it one day By the way, I was slightly disappointed you cut off the Old Castle Town theme at that point because a few seconds later it references Chaos King, which I find really interesting

I think it’s funny, (and i know it’s easy to brush it aside with all the other juicy lore bits that we got from this newsletter) that this is something you missed as someone with the whole ‘papyrus is the knight’ theory which i think might be a very real possibility, and the line from the papyrus portion of this; “WHAT? WHY WOULD I EVER BE AN ENEMY?” now, this is UNDERTALE papyrus saying this so we have to take it with a grain of salt, but if that whole conversation they had probably wasn’t JUST casual silly banter and was, perhaps, lore stuff… i find it hard to ignore that papyrus is compared to the number 7, and that earlier in the bit he has said that seven could be a ‘misunderstood antihero’ which is.. what he would be if we’re following the idea of him being the knight (misunderstood because he’s not trying to do evil, he just wants to make friends, even if that means opening fountains, etc) idk and the way that it ends with that line or near that line makes it seem.. significant. maybe not, but i feel like it is or should be

The character resembling Spamton from the UT Art Book could have been what Spamton looked like before that point.
