I made a mistake when explaining the chord sequence, the chords are as follows:
Bm (7-9-9-7-0-0),
D (and not C like I said in the video) (10-12-12-11-10-0),
A (5-7-7-6-5-0),
G (3-5-5-4-3-0)
The synth effect in the final performance is covered in greater depth in this video I made: • A custom stutter effec...

Thanks again.

@@nottaller1993 Thanks! I'm not affiliated with Synthstrom Audible in any way, but I wholeheartedly recommend the Deluge to anyone who is interested in making music, I love this little box a lot, and it keeps getting better and better with every firmware update.

@@simon_jakobsson Yeah it seems to be everything I want right now. I’ve been wanting something a bit of a step up from my OP-Z, which I absolutely love, but feel slight limitations at times.

@@nottaller1993 I had the OP-Z a few years ago, and it was a lot of fun, too. The Deluge is a big step up though, you won't look back :)

very cool.. i've done something similar except instead of guitar i've lined in a portable radio.. and then by adding some transposed notes you get a cool broken radio/tape sound

Wow, great video! Being able to use the Deluge as a sort of studio looper for guitar layering opens up a lot of possibilities for more textural guitar stuff. I also feel like you could use these chops and recording tricks to make a hell of a doom record. This is the first video to ever get me to GAS for the deluge a little, so well done (I think lol)!

HI Simon,tried this,is good. Also managed to expand your idea. You can record the guitar to an audio track,as your playing thru the inl synth voice,at the same time. Then load the audio track into your synth track,by changing the osc type to samp. Means you can play with beat and baseline playing,you're not recording the audio from out or mix. So you have the unprocessed guitar as an audio track. Thanks for the idea.

@tony I’ll try this later today, but doesn’t that trigger the sample from the beginning each note? I do Simon’s technique with a Korg NTS and turn into into a polyphonic synth by playing chords on the Deluge. Works a treat.

The sound balances a base of mellow with upbeat so well. Maybe this is my full subjectivity now but it feels like this sound allows me to experience mellowness then allowing me to leave the sound in a better place then I came to it with, but endlessly. ❤️💜🧡

So it is not possible to record just the synth track , the one with the OSC set to IN L ? No option for the audio track except recording the entire output of the deluge ?
@simon_jakobsson
@simon_jakobsson 4 ай бұрын
I think you can record the synth track separately, but to my knowledge the audio needs to be recorded as overall output. I could be wrong, or there could be updated firmware to change this, I honestly don't know. I you learn otherwise, please keep me posted. Thanks for watching!

Question for you. Can the deluge be used to send PC messages to a pedalboard? Could it switch effect setting for each part of a song as in send PCs to the pedals when parts change while in song mode? Been trying to find this info online, but struggling to get a real answer. Seems like it would be a great performance feature for completed tracks.

Sadly I don't know the answer, but it sounds like a really cool idea. Assuming you can modulate the parameters via MIDI, it should work, but I don't know much beyond that. Good luck, sorry I couldn't help more, and thanks for watching.
