One thing I don't like is the mute mode, that it automatically turns off previous tracks that use the same preset. If this was optional, I would like that. With my sampler I often have two separate sequences that use the same synth, but each melody or baseline is a counterpoint to the other, or stand alone by themselves. Sometimes a string synth can be running a great low melody or chord progression throughout the whole track, but then I turn on a little melody as well. I wouldn't want that melody to mute the chords, y'know? I know I could just make a second preset to do this, but that seems like it might be RAM-intensive if I did it too often. Really amazing machine though. I still want it.
@SynthstromAudible7 жыл бұрын
It's easy, uou simply just save the same preset as a different number. So say you were using preset 20 on a track and you wanted two tracks with the same preset playing at once, save it again as 20A and you can have them playing at the same time, 20B, 20C, etc...you use the same method if you want to have the same kit playing at the same time.
@domtak5 жыл бұрын
The solution sounds clumsy, wouldn’t you end up with lots of duplicate presets?

@SynthstromAudible7 жыл бұрын
It depends on how many tracks you are playing at any one-time, you could very likely construct a song with 100 tracks available (depending on track length) but yes, you certainly couldn't play them all at the one time, some effects take up a lot more resources than others - delay, time-stretching etc.

@SynthstromAudible7 жыл бұрын

@SeenfromSpace7 жыл бұрын
You need to shout it then! This is the sole reason I passed on both the Digitakt and Circuit - mono samples only. I looked at the Deluge manual and could find nothing in there about it! Maybe I missed it, but it's a major way to distinguish Deluge from the competition. Make the most of it.
@rguezmunoztomas5 жыл бұрын
Hello, I'm sure it has been mentioned somewhere, but I would like to know what are the possibilities when working together with the Deluge and a DAW. I guess the sound can be exported from the synth as an audio file to be used in the DAW, and it can also be used as a MIDI controller, am I right? Anything else? I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to gear/hardware, so any help would be appreciated :)

I'm trying to understand if it would be the right machine to play on the fly, I don't like play using pre-recorded stuff, but I want to record and sequence in real time, play it as an instrument and not as a portable studio. From this video it seems possible due sequencer and more possibilities, but still not totally sure. Is there any other video that could show this?
@SynthstromAudible7 жыл бұрын
One of its primer purposes is as an improvisational tool. I am not sure if there are any particular videos I can point to illustrating that at the moment...

i dont see anyone sampling straight into this in any of the tutorials?
@SynthstromAudible7 жыл бұрын
Sorry Elliot, we haven't made any yet. It's pretty straightforward, you line in your source or use the built-in mic, start recording when you want, then stop recording, then you can trim the resulting file. You build a "kit" with the samples you want, as many as you like (usually on a theme) per kit, save that "kit"... then start a new "kit" and start again. You can also resample what is currently playing and save that to the SD card as well, and again, trim the start and end points and load it into the song it came from, a new one, or a start a new kit. For us to show every feature and just how deep it can go would be an epic amount of video, haha, and we prefer to add new features rather than make videos talking about the old ones. Our 1.3 firmware is in beta testing at the moment and has a bunch of new features still.

I really have no idea what you are saying. There's no definition in the audio for your voice... Don't get me wrong - it's not the content - that is really good!, It's just that your voice gets muffled against the rest of the sound and there isn't a complete sentence I can understand.

Can record automation/plocks on a track that is 1)targeting a synth on another track and 2) that has a longer length than the target track. In other words, say I've got a 1 bar bass line, but I want to record 7 bars of automation/knob twiddling... and I don't want to have to do what I have to do in most grooveboxez and duplicate my one bar x 7... possible?

I‘ll buy the next version of it. I don‘t like the colours too much of the big knobs - more black, less white - no gold - so the coloured led will stick out more ... also the white in the middle I don‘t like and place your logo somewhere else and make it smaller - rather more knobs than a big logo - waste of space!
