But if you looked closely at Drizzella after Anastasia got her happiness, she hesitated to following her mother and realized that she had a choice of following her mother or following her own path to happiness, however she still had to follow her mother after she was called out to. She knew that her finding love was possible but she was scared because of her mother’s harsh treatment of her upbringing and was afraid of what she might do to her if she was to break her mother’s cycle as well!

Anastasia was undeniably complicit in the bullying and abuse Cinderella endured at the hands of Lady Tremaine in the first movie, but once she met the baker, she decided to break the cycle of Lady Tremaine’s cold-blooded and gold-digging nature. In the sequels, Anastasia stole my heart and became one of the best characters. She had great character development and a well-deserved redemption arc. Watching her grow closer with Cinderella, right her wrongs, and the fact that Cinderella held no grudges or ill will toward Anastasia despite the way she treated her was very impressive. Compared to Drizella or Lady Tremaine, Anastasia was not a bad person, she just was a product of how she was raised. Drizella was more of a henchman, but still was a product of kids who pick up behaviors and attitudes from their parents because they think it’s normal or they think it’s how they’re supposed to be.

In the remake though, Anastasia becomes just like her mother. Disney confirmed some time ago Anastasia was the new lady tremaine in the remake. Cinderella and Charming only have one son in Desendants and there’s a fan theory the original Cinderella named her daughter Ella and she died. Somehow charming left the throne and another family took power via Kit’s father. It makes sense so obviously the baker had to have left Anastasia for some odd reason.it’s stated in the remake Anastasia married for love and remarried a second time and the 3rd was for cinderellas husband. Makes sense to me considering Disney has confirmed the remakes are continuations of the original stories and take place before Desendants and after the original stories.

I think the sequel is differently than the 3rd movie. Cause the way I see that, came from different timeline. In the sequel Anastasia broken off from her biological mother, to stay with the baker. In the 3rd movie, Anastasia stayed with her biological mother, and take a wild guess who’s at the wedding? You guessed right, the baker. And that’s my theory of the father to Anthony from Descendants books. The baker and Anastasia. And I already found out in Descendants, Dizzy’s father is Prince Hans from Frozen movie. That would made Drizella a princess. Lady Tremaine got her way through Drizella, not Anastasia. I don’t know why that Drizella is the first borne to Lord and Lady Tremaine.

I feel like Anastasia and Cinderella would’ve been good friends and possibly build a sister relationship. Cause I don’t remember but I think in the 3rd movie they did hug it out because Cinderella was trying to show Anastasia the true meaning about love. I would’ve loved to see them have a good and healthy sister bond. Drizella, there was no hope for. You could tell instantly by the first movie. Always trying to please her mother because she was scared of her abuse….sounds a lot like the traumas I went through and still go through when it comes to parent gaslighting and manipulation. Only difference is, I’m not Cinderella, only child with no siblings, and it’s my biological mom. I’m so happy to get away from her at 20 years old and start my happy ending.

This is a bit debatable. You may good points but in the third movie, Lady Tremaine uses the magic wand to make the glass slipper fit Anastasia’s foot and not Drizella, which might show that she favoured Anastasia, hence wanting her to marry the prince and rule over the kingdom

I feel like I'm in a similar situation as a grandchild; my maternal grandfather, who is wealthy (to a degree, especially after getting a good investment returns from the pandemic), has extremely high expectations for his grandchildren. My mom's parents had three children - a daughter, a son, and another daughter, my mom, born a decade after the first. Each child would have two sons born within a five-year length, so I am one of six grandsons. My grandfather prefers his elder daughter over my mom because she's older, works a regular shift and is married to a sales executive. Thus, he prefers my eldest cousin over the rest because he is handsome, smart, has a girlfriend, lives on his own and already works a high-paying job in his twenties. Though I'm just a year and a half younger than him, I'm his polar opposite, having never had a partner and still living with my parents because I lack the budget to go far. My grandfather showers my cousin with praise, but snaps at me for being cowardly and sensitive. My grandfather isn't exactly evil, per se, but he's extremely strict and does not appreciate me despite my efforts to live up to his expectations.

Because of how Anastasia found the magic wand. Hence, she had some use to Lady Tremaine. She could've used the wand on Drizella and arranged her to marry Prince Charming. However, Lady Tremaine didn't because she saw how useful Anastasia was to her.

Considering Lady Tremaine's favoritism toward Drizzla I'm surprised she used Anastasia to try to trick the prince in a twist in time. I never imagined I'd be this impressed by Disney sequels, but these two are a cut above, and feel very much in place with the orginal. Thats rare. Then theres some of the neverending story's sequels 😮

Both stepsisters were written as wicked but Anastasia didn't appear to be that we could at all so you appeared to be a softy at heart. True is David did have her small time called hearted moments of the most part She was just seeking attention. I kind of disagree with this, for two reasons. 1. If Drizzella was really the favourite, you would think that the step mother would have had the slipper fit her, instead of Anastasia. Moreover, if Drizzella was as easily manipulated as this video suggests she was, that would be all the more reason to pick her than Anastasia. Instead, Anastasia was the one chosen. You could argue that it was because Anastasia was the one who found the wand and gave it (however unwillingly) to Lady Tremane, but if Lady Tremane really did pick favourites, she would have found some other way to pick Drizzella instead. 2. I don't think Drizzella was so loyal to Lady Tremane that she willfully decided to stick with her mother after Anastasia chose to follow her heart and pursue a relationship with the baker. You can see the indecision in her eyes, but clearly fear won out over her own desires when Lady Tremane called for Drizzella to follow after her, and she complied. Yes, the third movie made Drizzella out to be a miniature Lady Tremane, but I wouldn't say that she was the favourite child solely based on that.
