In one version he has a heart attack.that would not be out of the question as a reason for an unexpected sudden death.

I remember reading some outside material where Lady Tremaine gave some food/drink to Cinderella to give to Sir Richard (which had poison in), then when Cindy’s father died, Lady Tremaine pretended to be shocked and said “How could you do that?” Cinderella then wept in her stepmother’s skirt, then immediately after, she turned all happy and stuff.

And I'm so positive about that that I know she has a hand in everything even though she hid it from Cinderella for all her life regardless of wasn't just jealous of her

In the Complete story of Snow White storybook written in 1939 , it’s confirmed that the evil Queen poisoned Snow White’s father the King. Not sure if that is considered still cannon “In no time at all she began brewing mysterious poisons to destroy the king and when he was dead she seized the throne for herself”

So is very easy to believe that basically any and all versions could have wound up but it didn't but there's one particular version she actually could have

This still doesn't excuse her actions. I believe she killed him and then as revenge made his daughter (Cinderella) be the maid and the house keeper.

It could be possible that she killed him because of jealousy 😢😢😢😢😢😢 and envy and greed alone did that🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨

I mean she had a sad life before she become an evil stepmother so it no wonder she might have killed him if im completely honest if i was her i would have done the same thing and remember a villian is made not born 😊❤

I personally think that is absurd that anyone would ever come up with this conspiracy theory. In the live action remake It is said that Sir Richard is a merchant a traveling salesman. Upon returning home sir Richard didn't take the route he normally took he took a longer road. Upon taking that longer route Sir Richard contracted an illness and passed away. So Sir Richard didn't die by fault of Lady Tremaine

That book is a bunch of bunk. Both couples were of good family and apparent wealth. They could have easily afforded servants. If Cinderella's father lived with her in a "charming chateau", then he had money. Lady Tremaine would have been used to servants. There is no reason to think the Chateau didn't have servants before Cinderella's father died. Her father wanted her raised by a mother figure, not a servant, so he married a woman of "good family", Lady Tremaine. No man of the nobility would ever have his wife do all the housework, even among the poorest. His family reputation was at stake. She made Cinderella do all the work after her father's death out of spite. Marriages of convenience were very common among the nobility.
