See, i'm not dead lol. Hey thanks for your patience with this video, m'bastids. Obviously I had trouble getting these Delve videos to where I want them to be, so this will unfortunately be the last one for now. Regardless, I hope you enjoyed these and again, please consider checking out Anna Blackwell's other games. They're pretty neat!

Heh. If I understand those rules right, Drawbridge + Jester is hilariously powerful. You plant that jingly dancing bastid on the bridge, and when enemies make a beeline straight for him, he can hop over to the safe side while the chasing critters get dunked!

From the string of updates from patreon, it's clear that this is one of the most densely edited projects you've had yet, and that's saying something! I think this episode rivals some of your Splatterface episodes. I'm sad that it takes so much effort to put this together, because I'm itching to know whether Borhok finds that void crystal, or if Clumb Sleety leads a monster on a Scooby-doo-esque ring-around-the-rosie chase, or if the Gnollem can be coaxed into the moat, or whether all of it just falls apart in a random catastrophe! I appreciate your hard work, Krugg, and all of your illustrations. Shout out to Mrs. K for the assistance!

I picked up delve myself after your first video, ended up with a pretty prosperous city that raked in enough resources each turn from crystal caves, underground forests, and prisons to pay for an invention out if an ancient lab we dug up. Had a huge force of gunners and subterranean beasts to defend the place too. Only thing was I didn't know if you had to shuffle the deck between each draw or run through the whole thing then shuffle. Ended up doing the latter, and with a power that let me draw twice and pick the result on an exploration that meant I could handily avoid most dangers. Still had huge ancient vampire fortress with a gate to hell inside of it that we locked away behind a secret door though.

A damn shame that Delve is such a resource intensive game to make videos of becauses this was just amazing. Half the time I was on the edge of my seat worrying about the impending doom of New Silverstone and, well, the ending being what it is, I want more. No pressure though, do what makes sense for you and the channel, Krugg.

Delve, Rise and Umbra are all great. Definitely recommend giving them a go. I do change a few rules though, as is encouraged in the rulebook; namely, no natural formations on level one, and no remnants till level five. It gives you more time to build up resources, but it also means that when you do get down there, it's much more dangerous. Also, I don't tend to count fortress-ending cards if I'm less than 20 turns in; I'll give myself some sort of penalty, but otherwise I've found you can lose games very quickly, and that's not as fun for me. You can also roll a D4 each cavern you expose, to make larger, more random layouts. Can be fun! I never counted draining the actual lake as a cost, by the way, but that's the great thing about the game; you can interpret it and play it as you like. Good fun, and good to draw!

Reimagining game-over events for the first dozen or so turns is a great piece of advice, as the game is very volatile early on. In my current UMBRA game, I pulled an alien attack on turn 8. 50 STR and Ranged. My marines killed most of the attackers, but were wiped out... and I continued the colony from the perspective of the aliens that occupied it.

My young daughter and I just started trying to play this game. It's been... so-so so far. Pace is very slow and I've found some of the rules to be a bit too vague but we love the theme and idea behind it. I'm thinking I could easily play this game with a D14 and a D4 to determine ace through joker and which suit it is. Would greatly speed up the game without having to reshuffle the deck between each card. My daughter has enjoyed drawing and coloring each square. We'll give it a couple more games before I pass final judgment. Thank you for the great production and bringing this game to my attention.

Fun Delve semi-story from me: so, some of the "roll d4 for size of room" things can have monsters in them. I also make these caverns randomly shaped, so a lot of them go down a space or two (thank goodness for drawbridges). However, monster strength is determined by DEPTH, so I determine the strength of it by the lowest point of the cave and put it there. Luckily a good number of them either can't fly or aren't immediately hostile, so it usually turns out all right when I do this.

Sad I missed this series as it came out. This has definitely been a really fun addition to the channel and I would love to see more stuff like it. Maybe the results of a The Quiet Year game?

I've come pretty far in my own playthrough of Delve, thank the miners for that crystal cavern, likely the strongest little boon you can get early on. Other fun parts of my fort is a chasm I have drawbridges over to drop foes into, instagibbing all but the fliers and a cannon outpost next to a kitchen (netting 90 ranged str).

Awww, it's a shame there won't be more of these, I was for sure invested! Well whatever's next I'll be looking forward to it.

'Flopping Companion' gosh, what a great dog. I forget if Krugg said how they were randomizing things outside of the Delve handbook's purview, but if there is a random dog breed generator out there, I'm so into that.

Good to see you back. I plan on checking this game out. Sad that this fort won’t be shown to completion, I was really into it, but I understand your stance.

excellent as always. I wonder if a game like this could be adapted to work with more than one person, cooperatively building a fortress with some friends and then the greed or stupidity of one of us dooming it all sounds like a fun time.

You know, I bet it could be easily adapted to multiplayer, for sure. Hrmmm, what if there were two fort entrances?? Two players with two forts on one map?? HRMM
