As the biggest Derozan hater for years i have to say he convinced me with his Chicago years that he is not a dogwater anymore. Toronto Derozan and Derozan nowadays are very different. With his increased efficiency and better shot selection he is a solid starter and regular season star. Props to him.

He was so good before the break, he got injured and hasn't gotten nearly the same lift on his jumpers recently. As you said, he's a good passer but he's not the same playmaker that he was in San Antonio, feels like he's been focusing on scoring much more than in SA which isn't necessarily good or bad.

Depends. Next to another ball handler like KD or Dray I want Steph. Next to players less capable of running the offense like Kareem or Worthy I want Magic.

@@linkonedgell894 Are you trying to implement time machine? Do you realise that Curry's average pass is better than Magic's average pass? It just happens that most passes in 80ths were pretty basic. There is no scenario were Magic is more valuable than Curry on the same court, same players and same rules. Or take CP3 for Kareem and Worthy. Better defender despite smaller size and not that turnover prone as Magic. Or Nash, btw, hes basically Magic with 3pt shot.

definitely steph. not quite the on-ball playmaker magic is but he evens it out and actually adds more with his hyper-efficient volume scoring, ability to space out the floor no other player can, constantly on the move (hunting for opportunities) which in turn helps himself AND others capitalize on created advantages.

Steph imo but it’s marginal, just a preference in the movement/spacing/scoring holding more value next to higher-end talent than Magic’s playmaking. Could just as easily see the argument for Magic though, it’s splitting hairs.
