The Brute is actually a Halo Wars Brute and a reference to the old Brute figs from back in 2009 or 10. Wish it wasn’t a rare.

Those Halo Wars two brutes, one grunt and one elite army building squad sets were my first Mega Halo sets ever mainly because I was waiting for years long enough when the Halo sets got better looking worth getting and those guys were my first I went and got two of those sets and have a special place in my heart and still miss them.

This series is so far, the best new art Blind Bag series Mega EVER made. I love basically everything about it. So many army builders, the fixed Plasma Rifle, CQB, AC Jega, the return of the Halo Reach Grunt, them straight up reissuing the CE Marine, etc. The only things that stop it from being perfect is the Grunt and Brute being rare, and the Brute using that weird light grey color for the body.

I appreciate the review, Zee. The Universe series of blind bags remains undefeated. On another note, I really don’t know how the blind bags and the heroes haven’t been cancelled or discontinued. Being largely only available at Meijer, Fred Meyer, and Kroger. And with MEGA refusing to offer them online, how they continue to justify their existence financially to MEGA is beyond me. With Walmart and now Target pulling the plug on both lines, that’s almost seven thousand locations where these are no longer sold. Speaking of which, where is Heroes 19? Don't the new Blind Bag and Heroes series usually drop at the same time?

The spartan forearm on the elite is accurate, because in universe there is kind of a divit in the arm, which that forearm recreates. And the other forearm is not a new mold, its from the prometheans

OMGOMGOMG im just getting back into halo, and with designs and printing like these im getting hit HARD. Excellent review as always, great figures, great commentary on the paints and designs with color variation, and its overall a classic great review. The purple visor looks great with that green, and it really shows the kind of ridiculous color variations that they think of but also look good. And idk if the referring to the other helljumpers was in this series of sets since ive been out of the game of mega for a while, but there was also a pink helljumper thats really nice.

Im just surprised they actually made the brute form in general. The original human combat form from the old style figs had the original hosts head absent and just a little nub where it should be for the reason of "being to graphic for kids" so im glad to see that mentality is gone and they dont seem to care if its to "graphic" with how the flood head comes out of the brutes mouth and all that. The elite looks beautiful don’t get me wrong, but they were so fricken close to making him very accurate. I’m very surprised they used the correct foot pieces, the ones that are actually from the Halo 2 Anniversary model. But the shoulders should have been a recolor of the Maverick Series Elite Commander Shoulder pads. And my other small gripe is the Spartan forearm on the right, but on the left forearm I’m pretty sure that is a recolor of the Promethean Soldier forearm mold which works good I just wish it was for both. But all in all those are minor things that figure in itself is fantastic along with the rest of the series. I’m just PRAYING we get good distributions of these because I can already see the scalpers foaming at the mouth to sell one of these for like 15. Great video review. Just one question, what is the best way one could go about buying these early or when they release not getting charged over price?

So, upon checking the reference images, the Spartan forearm actually is pretty accurate. Finding these can be done two ways: find somebody with a Kroger near them who is willing to grab some for you, or check Paulmart's Ebay store or Popcorn8's Mercari store

The loose shoulder armor thing happens on any figure--you can fix it by either coating the clip area with some superglue to make it thicker, or using a tiny bit of sticky tac. I have multiple figures with that issue and they've all been fixed

the problem I have with the CQB is that the head looks almost the same as the old articulated one, and they make the visor look off, which offsets the chin which makes the problems you addressed with movement. other then that though, awesome series, I hope each of these new molds get used in sets, especially the new elite and brute flood. with all these halo 3 era figs coming I hope we get a halo 3 brute hammer chieftain soon.

@DemarcationMedia yeah I mean just the general head shape itself, the chin kinda sticks out more then it. And it makes the visor look funny to me like the top part of the "T" in the visor looks too tall and wide. Hard to explain

Um... my kid just removed the visor from blind bag Spartan Haunted (Universe 5) and the freaking SKULL face is still molded in there. Not sure why I'm surprised - it makes sense from an economy of production stance, but now I'm thinking... the customization possibilities are kinda sweet.

The forehead is a bit large compared to the in-game one. But the real issue is the movement
