There's a psychological side to it. I can confirm the feeling just isn't the same when you're unpacking a dupe, compared to an authentic, handcrafted piece. For me, its like a journey; opening the package, then the box, taking off the paper, layer by layer, smelling the leather... Ahh, you just CAN'T beat that! The only problem is your wallet is a lot thinner afterwardsEven though i've experienced both scenarios, i still end up buying a kislux .

I have a *condup* . brown Speedy p9 and I love it, the size is great, the leather is so soft in the 25 and it doesn’t look too big as I prefer the 20… I love it so much I might buy another

I used my first winnings to buy a canvas LV and in less than two years the wallet was cracked/broken in multiple places and the store refused to repair or replace it. I don't know what kind of resale value such junk could have. I ended up donating it...well, maybe I might buy a fake LV from *condup* but these designers/robber barons don't even think about taking another penny from me.

I bought a *hotdups* LV bag a few months ago. I took it to the LV store in my town last week to have it repaired. The salesperson checked my bag and immediately told me that it was a great quality bag. She pulled out an existing bag from stock and compared the tags and I couldn't tell the difference

The magnet review at 13:20 is particularly interesting. I have the same Cyme mini, and based on the sound of the magnets closing together in your video, yours sounds much "snappier" than mine, and mine always ends up being more open rather than "folded-in" (which I have been meaning to use), but it is still beautiful as is. I received mine in March 2024 and reported this to Polene customer service, as well as the poor stitching on the long strap of the small pouch inside. I am not sure if you are experiencing this, but please share! Thank you for your review! I hope you can share your height and show how it is worn. I have also been looking at a Demellier New York Midi for comparison, but "the leather guy" on KZbin claims that it was probably made in a cheaper manufacturing shop in Ubrique because of the mediocre craftsmanship as to the high end luxury bags and Polene, which is probably why the second hand market sells it lower than the Polene secondary market.

Luxury goods aren't luxury anymore: besides the quality issues, they make us go through a lot of trouble or just make the buying experience very unpleasant. This means that the tougher the financial situation, the closer the resale value of an authentic designer bag will be to the value of its leather and hardware, so if you buy a replica outright you’ll get a high-end bag that’s closest to the value of the raw materials.

Demellier does not honor the lifetime repair guarantee as stated on it's website. My bag has a major tear in the stitching after 1.5 years. I don't recommend.

At the end of the day it comes down to what you need and what is worth it to you. Spending thousands of dollars on a luxury bag (or something else) that isn't necessarily better or more durable than a decent mid-range bag makes no sense to me, I'd go with the *preluxz*

I have a whole detailed review on the Demellier bag only and I genuinely love that bag. However, when comparing them, I prefer the Polene bag as it checks off more boxes for an everyday tote

Yes, indeed. For example Demelier can be carried crossbody, for many women that's a must for an everyday bag. Then none of them can carry a laptop, but she says that Polene is work appropriate when in many companies Demelier would be more appropriate for its classic design
