@@erick7brian she was suffering from an eating disorder and self-harm (which is why she used to wear so many bracelets) - as well as feeling miserable due to an overworked Disney contract working on music, promotions, touring, TV (Sonny With a Chance), and DCOMS (Camp Rock, Princess Protection Program, Camp Rock 2) at the same time while she was 15/16/17 - which is young considering that minors were only supposed to be on set for 9 hours, and then having a whole music career on top of that. Demi also developed a cocaine addiction shortly after the release of her second album as her workload kept increasing as she was seen everywhere in 2009/2010. Also she was assaulted by someone she knew at 15 and had to continue seeing the perp after the attack due to them most likely being in the Disney/Hollywood circuit, which led to her bullemia getting worse. All those traumas led to her punching a dancer while coming down off of drugs on the Camp Rock 2 tour.

Gosh watching this now in 2022, you start to realize that Demi's natural style always trended toward this punk rock and hard rock stuff. It just fits her and her voice SO beautifully. Tbh it was probably Disney and her managers that forced her into the 2010-2018 pop-rock era. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE her albums Confident, Cool for the Summer, Heart Attack, etc. But these older songs and the new Holy Fvck just really seem to be HER REALM. She totally OWNS it and she knows it. We, as listeners, can totally feel the buzzing energy she emits when she is freely singing what she wants to sing.

I know this is just "Disney rock", but Demi has a really good rock voice. I really hope that she does more rock-influenced music again someday because I actually got goosebumps when the guitars kicked in during the middle and she just wails the chorus like she's on her dying breath. Okay, I'm being dramatic, but seriously, this is a surprisingly emotional song and I'm amazed that this came out of Demi when she was still on Disney Channel.

@@yuvalgerhard8169 I agree She's never let me down unlike the other 2 sadly like, Miley, and Ariana Grande. I like Selena Gomez for her fun music and lyrics. I try not to go for the voice when it comes to her and enjoy her stuff for being fun then your enjoy Selena's music. But when it comes to voice. I pick Demi easily. She's the best in my opinion. It's the same with Britney Spears. She can sing but they didn't want her to sing for real.
