Demi has proven all the haters wrong. She can hit the notes but sometimes she has her days and she’s human just like everyone else. We all make mistakes and just because she’s “famous” or she’s “Demi Lovato” she’s expected to always hit the notes and never miss it and always be perfect. But I feel like you could’ve used better footage on some of them.

Essa linha de raciocínio vale também pra Tell me you love me. Entende?
@eusamanth_a
@eusamanth_a 7 жыл бұрын
Entendo. A minha questão não é exaustão, é somente a respiração mesmo. O caminho que se percorre até atingir o G#5 e sustentar ele. Sorry not sorry é moleza pra mim, pra falar a verdade rs. É que o D5 do refrão soa como uma nota de 4° oitava. Mas é claro, tem dias que eu não consigo. Como qualquer pessoa também.

Imo, You Don't Do It For Me Anymore, Sorry Not Sorry, Concentrate and Smoke and Mirrors are the only songs in this video that actually have difficult climaxes. I believe Concentrate and Smoke and Mirrors both have phrased A5s, which are not easy to do at all. For SNS, you should've chosen the one at Break Room 86, that one is one of her best performances of the song. Also, Heart attack has a G#5?

@varunravi27 3 жыл бұрын
@@macoroniandfleas946 True... mixing a G5 is easier, but belting is not as easy that high. I normally use a balanced mix from C#5-G#5 because my chest voice beyond the fourth octave is quite weak so I can't completely carry it above a B4. Edit: I've started using a more chest-dominant mix as my comfort in the fifth octave has increased (I use a chest-dominant mix from G#4-F5, a balanced mix from F#5-G#5 and a heady mix above G#5)
@Lovatix
@Lovatix 3 жыл бұрын
@@varunravi27 how to mix??? Plsss tell me I really wanna belt G#5s and A5s plsss
@varunravi27
@varunravi27 3 жыл бұрын
@@Lovatix Before getting to the mixing part itself. you have to identify where your voice shifts from chest voice to head voice (basically when you have to use your chest to project the note and when you have to use your head to project the note). This is known as the secondo passaggio in musical terms (above one's secondo passaggio, he/she will have to use their head to aid in projecting the note). This is a list of secondo passaggis for each voice type: Bass: Db4/D4 Baritone: E4/F4 Tenor: G4/Ab4 Contralto: Db5/D5 Mezzo-soprano: Eb5/E5 Soprano: F5/Gb5 Depending on what your voice type is, one of these notes would be your secondo passaggio (I, for one, am a boy soprano and my voice is going to break in a few months. My secondo passaggio is F5, which is the same as listed above). Beyond your secondo passaggio, your voice will sound a lot more nasal/thin for whatever note you're hitting above your passaggio (this is noticeable for pop singers like Ariana Grande and even Demi, who is the main subject of this video... if you listen closely to Ariana's voice in live performances, you would notice that above Gb5/F#5, her voice becomes thinner). After identifying your passaggio, you need to practice how to sing through it (this is the important part). This can be done through mixing as it blends chest voice and head voice. If your vocal technique is really good (i.e.:- there is very little tension present in your vocal cords when you sing G#5s and A5s), using a balanced mix is the best approach (it is when the proportions of chest voice and head voice are equal). It is nearly impossible to achieve a perfectly balanced mix, but you should try as hard as you can to do so. Or, you could use a chest-dominant mix by using your chest to project the note more than you use your head (warning: don't incorporate too much chest voice because it could cause a lot of strain on top notes like the ones you mentioned). It is possible to properly belt G#5s and A5s, but you must have a well-developed chest voice and chest coordination in order to do so. I usually have to go for a nearly balanced mix (with a little bit more of chest and a slightly nasal placement) in order to hit G#5s and A5s because, as I mentioned in my previous reply to the comment, I have a weak chest voice. Using a head-dominant mix (where you use your head to project a note more than you use chest) works too, but it won't help reduce strain... it only makes your upper belts/mixed notes sound thinner and more like head voice than actual belts. However, beyond a certain point, you have no choice but to use a heady mix in order to be able to sing perfectly centered notes like Bb5 and B5 in mixed voice. Here's a small vocal exercise you can do to improve your mixed voice: lip trills (in the fifth octave if you are a soprano and in the fourth octave if you are a bass, baritone, tenor, contralto or mezzo-soprano) Sorry for the rant! 😅Hopefully this will help you improve your mix so that you can mix G#5s and A5s like you wanted to.
