I think they're doing better with the high notes because rock is a lot of straight belting instead of the mechanics of need extreme vibrato or vocals runs. It's less technicality that they have to worry about.

I'm loving the ease and stamina with their high notes, there's a lot of them and most of them are really belty so very impressive. The reason Demi doesn't get much resonance though is probably because the mouth is too open, the vowels are too wide making the larynx rise too high in the throat. If they have a more relaxed mouth and deeper vowels they would get a fuller and bigger sounding voice with more resonance. They could sound chesty and powerful still so I really wish they would do that. They should sing such vowels as they sings right before the octave jump in Skin of My Teeth in their fifth octave too! I'm impressed with them still being able to carry their tone and chest voice dominance up until G#5 though, but after that their voice thins out and sounds too bright and piercing I think.

No it's not. She's doing fine even at A5, A5s sounds so great and powerful yet stil having chesty tone in their mix. Opening the mouth wider doesn't always consequently cause high larynx, making it closer may cause it more. But yeah she's doing a wider opening mouth which she's consistently been doing and she's fine. Her high notes now sounds so much more cleaner and so much power despite chestiness.

They already sound better than the first day! Must have been the nerves or maybe they were a bit dehydrated. I hope they start putting a bit more space into their mixed voice, it’s very forward and I think some space would make them sound more full

@@EmmaRobertsStan I think it's not really nasal, it has the adequate amount of nasality, every note and especially high notes need nasal resonance.

@@moragev2606 Nasal resonance is not the same as nasality though, but I agree about their voice not sounding nasal here but more forward in the face and twangy I'd say. Nasality is more like Janice in Friends's speaking voice. The resonance should definitely be forward in the face, like in the temples and sinus area. @@ArTdEcO008 yes that's what I meant. I use the word nasality to invoke the noun form of nasal. But I don't think I agree with opening the mouth wide causes high larynx, not necessarily as it also allows voice to be more open, creating space and neutralizing the larynx. She has most of her A5s very chesty and that's very impressive to think that having chest voicr brought up to A5 is insanely difficult.

her vocals are not on point compared to tmylm tour. Just like you said, sometimes it sounds shaky and pitchy. But i totally agree: she’s gonna get better every concert. just needs to be more comfortable, especially with the new songs. I still prefere her tone from the confident/tmylm era though. Just my opinion 😂
