So what i’m hearing is God didn’t hurt you, the church did. And demons are showing you “things in the sky” to confuse you and lead you away from him. God loves you so much. He gave his love letter (the Bible) not to condemn us, but to show us there is a better path for us. God loves you how you are, yes. But he loves you so much, that he doesn’t want to leave you how you are. Demi, i know you’re probably never gonna see this, but God has never left you. Us as humans choose to walk away from God. So that means we can choose to come back to God and his plan for our lives. And i will always pray that you come back to him. I love you so much!!🥺❤️❤️

Huh? Demi’s held most of the same beliefs their whole career. Demi grew up in the south where religion was extremely homophobic and she likes women too so it’s not rocket science that she didn’t feel connected to religion as she grew up and accepted her sexuality.

I can relate to this a lot. I don’t think there’s some man in the sky making a list and checking it twice like Santa. We’re just here, let’s try to be good to ourselves and one another, and hope for the best. Spirituality and religion is not a direct answer, it is a means to foster hope and a way to keep going when weighed down by the unanswered questions of the universe. It works for a lot of people.
