Maybe I’m misremembering, but I feel like I’m the recorded versions of the two albums, this one is more relaxed vocal wise and she’s more focused on her message than showing off her talent. Okay but there have been plenty of performances in which her song literally sounded strained. Just because she had back-to-back performances every year which had a toll. It doesnt mean anything thinks she sounds bad, just that this is the top of her game with regard to HEALTHY vocals

@@YikesHehe the mic is very slightly filtered. I’ve been a fan of demi for years and can tell when performances are 100% raw. A lot of mics have filters that make it cripser and “clean up around the edges”. Demi’s raw voice is actually very close to how it sounds in this performance and the mic just makes it sound “smoother” if that makes sense. No actual autotune.

Actually as soon as it started I noticed the pitch corrector/autotune, you can heart it very clearly, I'm not saying she can't sing but seems that all the singers nowadays have to use a microphone with pitch corrector, it's sad we are not hearing the REAL voice without any editing like the old artists, I get it when it's a recording for an album but this is supposed to be live performance

@@scottc4199 if you google obsession you get the definition "a persistent disturbing preoccupation with an often unreasonable idea or feeling" i dont think its unreasonable. i love the NPR Tiny Desk format because it was kinda unplugged / live without a lot of post production and stuff. the home concerts are all heavy autotuned / pitch corrected whatever you wanna call it. just compare the "Mac Miller NPR Tiny Desk concert" and this one... he is not perfect on pitch and thats why its so good. its live its love

What I love about her is she has complete control of her voice now and can also hit those notes perfectly without overdoing it! She used to just always powerhouse through everything and sometimes she would sing the songs too strong and too powerful, now she is still doing the powerhouse but also can sing and hit those high notes and runs perfectly. A perfect balance

Yes. Her voice sounds very very healthy. I’m convinced she’s changed something about her technique. Although I’ve always loved her and known she’s an amazing singer, before this new era I used to suffer hearing her sing live, as her voice always seemed at verge of breaking. Nobody is touching Demi vocally. I’m so grateful for the miracle that kept them alive. I believe that talent always chooses the right people, and Demi is proof. I’m always blown away by Demi even after all these years. Their newest album is truly a masterpiece. Their music is significantly more honest and real to them and it shows. No matter what anybody says, I know deep down that it’s truly a blessing that Demi has a platform. Nobody has dedicated more time and energy to advocate for mental health, addiction, eating disorders, and LGBTQ+ rights. They always speak up and use their platform for good. Outspoken, honest, and vulnerable people are always the targets of hate and criticism, and yet Demi bounces back every time and still has it in their heart to use their talent and celebrity for good.

Strong, powerful, gorgeous... I'm a musician and can tell you her intonation is PERFECTION (all pitches are spot-on). She is in complete control of her spectacular instrument. I love to hear a pure voice without overproduction! I can't believe she almost died like so many other stars, and still came back with such amazing artistry. It makes me wonder what more we could have seen from Amy Winehouse, had she made it past her addictions...
