To be fair some Survivors are really fucking mean. I say that as Survivor main. I've had Killer main friends who had Survivors just dick around at the gates and chase them around until the Entity killed them just to be assholes. They love to bully the Wraiths, Trappers and Legions in particular, I've noticed. Demi isn't toxic though, he just gets Killers who get pissed and tunnel. He's been pretty nice to newbies before.

The biggest problem with DbD is how both sides only acknowledge the other side and not their own in whats wrong. Survivors complain about NOED, (sometimes) Devour and the Killer type. (Not limited to just these) Killers complain about Adrenaline, Dead Hard, (old) Decisive and sometimes the items/offerings they bring. (Not limited to just these) Its just a shitshow that'll never end because both sides are too retarded to realise the reality of the situation.

I'm not saying it's toxic to have flashlights, but I don't get why survivors get to tell killers what's toxic, like camping, tunneling, slugging, but killers can't tell survivors what's toxic and what's not. I've very recently started playing DbD, and I've seen huge double standards from survivors, who gen rush, use god pallets, infinites, all 4 having flashlights with perfect addons, with meta perks like Dead Hard, D-Strike, etc still complain that they get camped as if they are any better. And after all of this, Killers keep getting nerfed, like Wraith, Spirit, maybe even Blight and Artist now. Again as I've said, I'm quite new, so maybe I just don't get it but has it been like this always, where survivors keep trashing on the killers while also being toxic themselves.

Both sides have people who are deeply toxic. You just only hear one killer at the time complain, while you might get 4 surviors complaining at the same time. I've played both survior and killer. I've had bully swfs who try to flashlight me into the sun and then DC the moment all of them are hooked. I've been up against a ghostface who accussed the surviors of being a swf - as if that's illegal?? - when all he did for the match was camp the hook like 80% of ghostfaces does, so of course he's not gonna win that if the surviors are smart enough to see through the tactic. People will always get pissed and accusse others of fucking them over instead of just reflecting on how they themselves fucked up.
