I got titanium stand offs and CF scales for mine. I lost a couple body screws, I had to wait to get new ones in the mail. Then when I finally got it already to put back together, the damn spring popped out and I lost that. So, I had to order a new one. It took almost two weeks to get that damn thing back together because I had to keep reordering parts. It's kind of funny now that I look back on it. those timascus scales look killer!

Those scales are sick I got the plain Ti version with the 3V. The first thing I did to when I got it was break it down to clean it and throw skiffs in it. I will say that on these Ti version the skiffs made it crazy smooth compared to the none titanium version.

The Knife Center just dropped more of these. $1200. Table price was $1050 at the show. Not sure how many they have, but only 200 were made between drop point and sheep's foot.

Ok good! So the newer pivot won’t effect the bearings & you can still use the 6mm skiffs. Was curious about that
@bjdunne51132 жыл бұрын
Do the skiffs really make a difference?
@DeRock4012 жыл бұрын
Even though this one has a larger pivot it still takes the same size skiffs as the standard ad20.5? Did it make a difference? Knives like this I don’t really think it’s worth it cuz the blade is free falling once you engage the shark lock

I like them. I’m not sure how much of a difference they make.
@JJ-lu6mg2 жыл бұрын
I think it’s a big difference IMO, the ones that come with the knife are basically junk. I can feel the bearings when opening and closing knife with the original ones. The skiffs make it smoother and more solid just improving both the action and strength of it.

That knife is awesome.

Hard to read- what size are the bearings?
@vlab20002 жыл бұрын
Skiff 6mm pivot, 1mm ball, 19 ball count.

Are those scales commercially available?

I’m pretty sure that those are Demko scales. I just got the same knife, but with the plain Ti and the finish on mine is really nice too.

I just picked one up at TheKnifeCenter...$1200. Good luck. I got one!
@arrowheadguys76372 жыл бұрын
@@markedfortime Yeah you overpaid. I was fully prepared to pay around $800 for this knife, but its literally a $150 production knife with a set of $400 scales on it. If it came out of his custom shop that'd be something else, but $1200 for a Taiwan knife is absurd.
@markedfortime2 жыл бұрын
@Arrowhead Guys probably so my friend...but I'm sure I can get a chunk of it back if I move it on. Thanks to inflation, I might double by next month!
@arrowheadguys76372 жыл бұрын
@@markedfortime Unfortunately also due to inflation twice the money will be worth half as much lol. Don't get me wrong, I'm still tempted to order, but it pisses me off he said retail on this knife would be $1000 at blade show and Knife Center marked it up that much. And the way things are going as soon as I bought this knife they'd release some of his US made customs for $600 and I'd be kicking myself. Already have 3 of his 20.5's at home.

@@arrowheadguys7637 actually Knife Center did a refund back to my card. So price is 1050 now. And they changed it on their site too. 👍
