I worked for a major trash company for several years…when a hose blew on the tarpers and it had to keep going…we sometimes would do a quick fix with field service hose ends…cut the bad spot…install the manual hose ends on each end and connect together for a temporary fix until the trucks day was done and replace the hose…we had 10 rolloffs and no spares in peak season…usually we’d complete the job in under 10 minutes

Andrew loaded your 30 yarders pretty good. No voids and nothing was jammed sideways in the bin to jam up the load. A 30 yard bin is an odd ball size for us. Back in my bin days it would have been 40 yarders or the 50s o😮n a job like that. The bin jumping the rails would be a little more common for you guys your bins slide on rollers. The rails on the trucks we have here, bins slide on strips of Hardox welded to the top of the rails. The one draw back is if you have a real heavy bin it can be a bitch to pull on. Ive had 50 yarders with 15 tons of garbage jump the rails. Usually when I was in a hurry. There is only one company in the area that uses conventional rails. The other bin companies went to hooklifts. Easier to train drivers using hooklifts.
@Dumpster_Dave8 ай бұрын
My international has that style rails, inside outside rails. It shakes the truck bringing a heavy load up. I don’t like that style but it works.
