I decided to do a demo of Marshall SV20H before selling it(maybe :D)...
1963 93 SRV Stratocaster(Tornade Ms pickups 60 custom) straight in,1x12 with vintage Evm12L speaker
I m attenuating the signal with my Aracom DAG 150 attenuator

Amazing tone! One of the best SV20H demos I've heard to date. Many folks go straight to Fender amps trying to find those elusive clean tones of yesteryear without realizing many of the tones were strats through a Marshall Super Lead

@ 5:00 the tone is magical, don’t need all those pedals, but maybe pair the sv20h with a fender super reverb, bandmaster reverb or a twin reverb…❤🎉

Ah man that’s a great sound! my sv20 should be here next few days can’t wait! Seen a mesa theilhle 1x12 with evm12 for sale locally, was seriously considering it but herd the ev needs to be dimed to sound good? Are you finding that I? will be using with a tone king attenuator

Yes cool man! The ev sounds good at low volume too! I love it but it won t give you the classic marshall crunch like a celestion,it has a completely different midrange 😉Vintage evms of this period are the best 👍

What kind of 1x12 cabinet are you using here? Open or closed back? Sounds like a perfect match for this amp and the size does not sound boxy! 🤘🎸🤘

That is a custom made cabinet by a french guy ;) It can be open back,semi open or closed,i use it semi open here

Salut! Merci(j ai compris apres pour ta remarque sur ma strat je croyais que tu l avais vendue et que tu te demandais si c était la tienne😅La mienne est bien de 2014 mais pas edition limitee,micros 69,fat50,TxSp de base mais je fais des essais car pas fan de cette config et je sais pas au final si je vais la garder et reprendre une vintage a la place…) Sinon pour le marshall meme le mode 5w est tres fort,faut un attenuateur pour le faire cruncher.Puissance parfaite pour le live.Pour les points négatifs:vraiment tres agressif,un changement de lampes de preamp ameliore un peu ca mais ca arrache les tympans quand meme et sa puissance qui oblige a prendre un attenuateur.Je pense depuis un moment a m en separer car il me sert tres peu

@@zorzum 5w dans un HP avec un rendement de 100db c'est trop, il y a des HP avec des rendements beaucoup plus faibles (G12L-35 par exemple)

That's alot of gain for a plexi, especially when the Vol is at 1.5 on a strat could the attenuator be boosting the signal?

Check the vol II settings too,the channels are jumped so the gain is coming from adding the second channel at 5 for example😉On 1,5 it s clean

@@vivienverdier hi... I have this same head, I've used non master vol mostly.. compared urs sounds like there's some boost/increase in Gain.. I will say I use Fender CS 69's which are just about as low output as p/ups get.. I'll persevere with it a while, swapping out the valves helped..

I love this tone but i don t using it much,i don t bring it live anymore ,i don t like to have to play with the attenuator all the time and i don t want to bring 2 attenuators live.I d like to have a similar amp with a master that i can bring live and for home use,maybe a little more versatile when i don t want to plug the big amps+attenuator+pedals😊 I dont want to add a master to it either,it won t sound as good.

Dont like that sound at all. Just sounds like a jangly noise to me. Much prefer the tones of the Super Reverb below it. The Marshall is making my head ache.

Wow that s pretty rude,did you listened on headphone or great quality monitors? All my Video are meant to be listened that way not on the phone😉The first seconds are very bright but then the tone change a lot
