You could drop down lower in the world (I forget your current y level), and increase the drop height for your mob spawner. You can turn Zombies into Drowned (by drowning them), which drop copper! As for the next item; I vote for a stack of powered rails. I have given it zero thought, other than that minecarts are an old tech that deserve some love.

But I have no reliable source of iron... It took 3 episodes to make a cauldron... I can't afford minecarts in this economy, much less rails.
