The solution is to stop voting in right wing politicians - people like centrist Democrats. In world terms, the Democratic party are very right wing. The Republicans are roughly in line with the far right fascist parties in Europe. Dumping Hillary Clinton may have given the USA 4 years of Trump but it sent a massive message about what the people really want. What Bernie is suggesting isn't a radical dream, it's basically like living in Germany or France today.

@@timbirch4999 me personally, I think Germany have a far better system than the US...why, they have universal health care. All working individuals are entitled to health benefits (Unlike America). Second, though it may exist everywhere (racism), Americas the only country on this planet to mix race and color. In Germany, theres no such thing as having to choose "race/colors." Either you're a born or foreign national! Simple! My opinion, select no of the candidates they push on us...we should choose an independent candidate who will address the needs of Blacks/Native Americans, Caucasians and Foreigners differently. Constitution needs to be rewritten and revamped so that it doesn't prominently benefit caucasians. Homosexuals...well that shouldn't even be discussed when dealing with human rights issues....those are personal choices so they should fall under personal freedoms. I hope he’s surrounded by bright people who will carry his vision forward. That’s what’s needed. A whole new enterprise with vision and ability to get the job done. I remember learning about the ‘statesmen’ in our history. I grew up believing being a statesman (or stateswoman) is being the best among us. That doesn’t exist in the current Republican party. Nobody in the current administration can ever call themselves a statesman (or woman) in my opinion. They allow a lying, cheating, sexual abuser to sit in the WH and do nothing. It’s astonishing really. My 2 cents, take it or leave it. I don’t care.

Are you as quick to label and denounce Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Canada, and other countries that also have similar means of looking after their citizens with comprehensive benefits and strong social safefy nets in the same manner? We already have elements of socialism in this country and live in a mixed system at best. Public schools, libraries, local police and fire departments, hospitals, public utilities, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, our armed forces, and a number of other things which are important and integral to our society would fall under the definition of being publicly funded or socialist at least in part. If the present global pandemic and national health crisis is teaching us anything, it is that government has an important role and should be ready to step in and help hard working people from going under financially and provide them with access to universal health care as a basic human right in order that they can get the medical attention they require and minimize their risk of being exposed and succumbing to highly infectious and potentially deadly diseases like Covid-19, the H1N1 virus, Ebola, or any other health issue that could be categorized as such.

@@mahlina1220 You are right, we are better educated in history, geography and politics in other countries, that is for sure. You do not know what a fascist is after indocterination, and you do not know how europeans feel. Scandinavia, Italy, Greece, and eastern Europe all had our Brexit shift prior to the UK. We want to be independent, we want a republican EU, if we are to be a part of it or sign tradedeals with those fascists. We are different culturally, and Germany and France, along with their puppets from non nations like Luxemburg and Belgium, does not get to dictate other countries no more. EU is breaking up. Some countries have gone fascist to protect EUs fascism, but the majority has rejected it. We have gone conservative, want our independence back. Check out the EU parliment too, majority of the seats have been EU-sceptics for a decade and more. Because the MP is the parliment does not have a say, and unelected run the show. You need basic information. Stop typing clueless nonsense. And we have pretty good societies, because we have common values and culture in our countries, EU is deconstructing that, along with the UN. They are both responsible for the recent breakdown of society, loading us up with debt, and destroying the utopias we had. We do as USA now, we just disregard the destructive UN directives, it is over. Our third biggest party is in government and want to ditch it all together. Our biggest wants to renegotiate it, and till that is done, certain aspects are just suspended. Same with EUs free movement of workers, since it includes illegals now.

Start local. Find community leaders. People who are respected in the community and encourage them to raise awareness, educate the community, run events, run for office. These people must be sponsored. Volunteered. Endorsed. The person who actively seeks power is the last person who should have it. They must use public funding exclusively. Never their own money (the kickstarter or "church-basket" model). The approach must be from the bottom, up. They must not promise to save people but instead teach people to save themselves (in truth this was always the only way). Teach them to forego self interest and work together as a community. This is the only way. This is the human way.
