She is been a leader since I met her in the 1990, a dedicated and capable attorney always in the side of the communities and what is right and fair. She is the leader that brings people together to work for a cause and get it accomplished.

Yes but most of the left leaning populace understand independence as the best option and have historically aligned with independence as well as most of the alianza (independence party and victoria ciudadana) with its key political candidates, Juan Dalmau, Ama Irma and Manuel Natal are all pro independence which I think it's key context to the headline. Dalmau, the president of the Independence Party has run for Governor in various occasions and has gotten so few votes that they have had to collect signatures to register the party again!
