Dick Cheney's direction of torture and killings is no surprise to anyone who has watched his career closely from the time he was a congressman from Wyoming and a man with a limited pocketbook. Dick Cheney is the man who came out of his Secretary of Defense's office to the tv room and told us that Lt.Robert Speicer who was shot down during Iraq invasion, was KIA in the shootdown. No, he was not KIA, but Cheney had to shut us down since his DoD had not bothered to look for Lt. Speicer, in spite of the fact that there was evidence of the lieutenant's wingman reporting a successful ejection; proof of his presence in an Iraq shed for days after he was shot down was documented; and British troops reported that the lieutenant was alive. We can say for sure that Lieutenant Speicer was guaranteed to be dead after Dick Cheney made that announcement. We must also remember that two days before Bush-Cheney were to leave office, Dick Cheney took an unannounced,seemingly last minute and Solo- Participant trip to Iraq that concerned Halliburton Corp., his multimillion-dollar income corporate CEO position, and Iraqi oil, among other extremely valuable assets that were maintained hidden in Iraq. Those assets left Iraq, of course. No USA tax payer of ordinary stature knows where those assets went, and no one but a few well-placed senior white males in the Bush Administration knew that Cheney was going to make a literally last-minute trip to Iraq. Dick Cheney should be in federal prison, but it won't happen- since it already hasn't happened. However, we middle class USA citizens get what we deserve because we do nothing but Gripe a little and settle for what we can get, while we are fast becoming an endangered species. As Pogo said, "We have met the enemy and [it] is us."

He shoots someone in the face and they apologize. He too avoided the draft with numerous deferments. Asked about that, while sending young people to die in his Haliburton war, he said about avoiding Vietnam service, "I had better things to do, at the time.". So did I and every working class male I knew. Funny how many chicken hawks there are among the republicans. Men who avoided service, like President bone spurs, Cheney, and GW Bush, are so eager to send young men and women into combat for the sake of their stock portfolios or their political careers.
