The US approach to staying on top, is not to climb even higher, but to keep everybody else down.

I was born during WWII. I thoroughly believe that 800 + troops today have at their disposal hundreds of times the fire power that the individual troops had during WWII. No one realizes the intense destructive power of the military forces available to the U.S. military today compared to what military forces had available to them in previous wars. We are thoroughly one of the most destructive forces ever to be unleashed on the world.

juli grlee Thanks for pointing that out. How do we stop violence, without using violence? We invented such a weapon. The generals sent it back. Complaint? "It doesn't kill."

We have to eliminate the value systems formed in ancient Israel, ancient Babylon, ancient Mecca, formed in the first century, the fifth century and the mutations of today that impose lies on our minds. We have to find some kind of agreement on what is fair, healthy, free and meaningful. The more we step on one another, the more violence we will inherit. Our country is not a democracy and never was one either. Our country is now filled with bigotry of all types because we don't allow for the "live and let live" motto. Civilization does depend on the threat of force. Civilization ends when force is used.

We the people need to put and end to this madness by demanding that congress vote to declare war which is thier constitutional duty or bring all of our troops home now!!! Almost everywhere we sent our military, special forces or cia analysts , it seems our presence their made the situation worse not better!! We the people didnt sign up for regime change or nation building. Its time to end the "war on terrorism" once and for all and bring our troops home!!!!

John Harris. But where are the anti war movements like there were against the Vietnam war? Why aren't American people protesting? 15 million people worldwide marched in protest against the Iraq war before it started. Do Americans really believe that these wars are to protect America? Do they still believe the Russians are a threat? Surely not. North Korea wouldn't be a threat if USA military weren't dancing about performing mock atacks on their border with South Korea and the Trumpet (see Nostradamus prophecies) wasn't tweeting. Are Americans so used to interminable war that they just accept it?

Us in Africa making money through was while China is more investing in economic development there. What will have the most influence on Africa's future?

Michelle Gould. So nice to see someone knows the truth. Surely China must be prepared to defend the countries where they invest, I hadn't thought about that, I wonder how they would do that, a military solution would surely be impossible. The US are destroying the world and no one seems to be even trying to stop them. The UN is a disgrace.

I was wondering how long it would take the U.S. to make their mark in Africa since China has been helping Africa for years.
