I live in a small town with few Haitian immigrants, but I’ve already had some unfortunate encounters with them. Two of these incidents were hit-and-runs. In one case, the driver pretended to return to his vehicle to retrieve insurance information but instead drove off. In another instance, the driver pulled over, opened the hatchback to obscure the license plate, and then drove away while waiting for the police to arrive. The third incident occurred when I was taking a taxi home from the airport. The taxi booth provided me with a slip showing the fare, but the Haitian driver refused to honor it, adding extra fees on top of the fare plus the 15% tip. He also refused to provide a receipt, cursing at me and saying, 'What the heck do you need a receipt for?’ As you can see, they are going to do things their way and ruin our life ultimately.

Springfield used to have 80,000 but the population dwindled down to 60,000 over the years; there were a lot of job vacancies and the Haitians moved there mostly right after Covid. It will take some time for the tax base to provide the funds to balance out. I live in a small town that had a similar situation on a smaller scale. We were struggling but then COVID saw people moving away from cities and buying country property. Now we just finished building a playground for the kids, re-paving the streets etc.

There are many videos and complaints and reports by the people in Springfield, saying that this has happened in their culture. They do practice voodoo a lot over there and it's actually. The best way to handle the immigration issue is providing these people a pathway to citizenship so they are no longer exploited by their undocumented status.
