I have a challenge run for you. Playing with the "Random Country Placement" mod start with Poland, and then try to find your way home (conquer all provinces that should normally have been Polish cores). It could be really easy, it could be really hard. Depends on your luck. Restart if you must, but see if you can make it with your first attempt :)

During the starting setup, I recommend pressing "DONE" when asked about factions (this way, no factions exist at the start of the game, but anyone can form new ones) and saying "YES" to random technologies. Getting a couple of random technologies gives a bit of flavor to the game, and also helps make each playthrough a bit more unique.

Great campaign! This actually inspired me to play democractic Germany myself right away! They're super powerful with big industry and six research slots. I would really like if you continue to explore 'other' paths for nations. Next up maybe, democratic Netherlands? Communist Canada (actually quite tough)? Fascist Yugoslavia?

There is a really cool trick before opposing hitler. If you go for it first or at least when Italy is still at war you can lend-lease them all your equipment like 20 days before the focus finishes and when the war breaks out you just cancel lend lease and you get all of your equipment instead of half

I've got an idea for a HOI4 challenge I call, "Napoleon Round 2, Electric Boogaloo Franco-Spain will bring the pain." Conquer all of Europe as Franco-Spain without taking more than 500,000 casualties, or if you wanna have a bad time, less than 100,000 casualties. If you really wanna have a bad time and are like Napoleon, say no to trading with Britain and take it up to the extreme by saying no to all trading. If you just wanna fail or prove yourself as the ultimate HOI4 player, do it with only 20 width infantry divisions

12:07 Well, that's just a bad design. You know that Sharpen Air Safety Regulations is aimed to prevent Hindenburg, but this is a gamey choice. Meanwhile you pay 50 pp for it and +5% to production cost of planes to get nothing in return. No air xp, no *lowered accident chance for training air wings,* no increased effectiveness of said training, no extra reliability on planes. If this decision exists for 50pp without flavor text mentioning "It's for Hindenburg", then it should do something for other people. You should have a use for it, in your case grinding air xp without accident losses for 3 years.

It's as if improve working conditions was not giving you any buff, served only as a call back to one random focus in your tree and provided no bonus. Never rush construction 4. Concentrated 4 or tools 4 are much more helpful (usually tools are better but in this game concentrated would have been better for you since you ran out of building slots several times) the factory output you get is huge and it will pay off much more than what you get from a few earlier mills. You shouldn't really get construction 4 anyways, something like engineers 3 is much more helpful than that. Also try to delay four year plan so it finishes when you have finished, or are researching all the 37 industry tech.

One trick that still works is to send all of your equipment off to China via lend lease the day before the civil war fires, then cancel it immediately after. This way you get all the equipment and the other side gets none.

here is a challange: play as a really small country with 0 factories and become a major here's an example: release & play as taijikistan(a country that can be released in the soviet union)/ israel(which from what i remember at that point had 0 factories) and become a major

Asking for military access gives a relation bonus if they accept, a free way to boost it in the hope they accept your alliance. Non aggression pact does the same but boosts a bit more. Though dont do that if you attack them if they deny the alliance. This might help if the relations have a base negative offset and improving it via pp does not get it high enough.

The Army xp has a percentage multiplier of men in the field training that are already regular. The troops you train but havent deployed yet also count into that so if you have 30 regular divisions training you get a certain amount of xp but if you also have 30 new ones in training that value is halved or something since they are not regular yet, but I don't know the exact math.

Can't exploit fascism and then turn democratic. I justified a wargoal in Poland immediately and then went democratic. However, to progress in the democratic focus tree, you need to stay under a specific amount of world tension that you create.
