Zohran was a great Assemblymember, it is great to have socialists in the NYS govt. I hope he is able to get elected as mayor & if not remains in the assembly. It is so important to pass the policies he advocates for. It would be very tragic to not have him in an office.

Love the free ridership on subways and busses. Get people where they want and need to be without unnecessary cost. Cut down on traffic.

Also expanding vouchers does not work if the voucher pays the same high rent, what happens is the vouchers actually are bringing up the market rate in lower income neighborhoodd and making it hard lower Income working class to afford rent. So you end with a city of people on vouchers and people who make over six figures, with everyone in the middle lost without a home or having to get Rohmaterial. We as a people need to educate ourselves more and not take any politicians word at face value. Also these developers get 421a tax incentives to build affordable housing that is not affordable, its just a play on words people

Agreed on most except ending brokers fee. That's a trade job people are doing...sorry doesn't make sense. You either hired a broker or you dont to facilitate what ever real estate job needs to be done, especially when your talking about at scale a landlord cant do everything like any business you need multiple people. Like the other guy was saying the real issue is rent over the entire city. If you cant afford rent to begin with, paying someone to help you doesn't matter. If rent become affordable then brokers fee will as well since its supposed to be based off of rent in most instances

I have to agree. That broker also spends time advertising and doing credit checks on viable candidates so the landlady doesn’t get screwed…
