I don't like the idea of the US giving my tax dollars to foreign countries but when you really dig into it, it does benefit America. It's what helps keep the USD the dominate currency around the world, yeah we give countries like Pakistan US aid but most of that money is spent towards the US economy and the USD that isn't is spent in counties that then in turn use that currency around the world, and that keeps the USD strong. It's not as black and white as libertarians make it. If that US aid stops then China moves in and gets their currency circulating...and that IS BAD for the USD. Yeah it would be nice if there was another system but there isn't and the moment the US aid stops China is just waiting to jump on it and with BRINKS starting the USD has never been in more danger...and since my family lives on the USD, having a strong currency around the world is a must. Lets also not forget who pumps more money into US colleges than any other foreign country...Qatar.
