The data was clear from the total vote. It was the campaign pivoting to the moderate Republicans that depressed excitement.. She needed to show how she would change things. The democrats failed to capture the gettable next generation and the people looking for support on real life issues.

Parading them around? So first of all, they never "paraded" dick Cheney. She literally just acknowledged that he was voting for her. And liz? They had like 2 or 3 events. I would hardly call that "parading". Why exactly can't Kamala do some events with a republican? I don't understand. Donald Trump wad doing events with former democrats (rfk and gabbard). So Trump gets off Scott free parading those 2 losers but Kamala gets crushed for having like 2 events with liz Cheney? Can you possibly explain that logic?

In the battleground states Harris was basically equaled to Biden’s totals in 2020. If Trump had the same support as in 2020 Harris would have won every battleground states except Arizona and North Carolina. Even if all third party votes went to Harris it wouldn’t have changed anything. Even turn out was higher in battleground states than in 2020. Even if Harris had the same percentage support of Arabs in Michigan as Biden did it wouldn’t have changed the results. I know you want to believe that the uncommitted movement did this but there is no facts to it. Maybe in other states that had these dynamics you wish but in the battleground states that actually decided the presidency it wasn’t the case. It was an influx of about 800,000 new voters in the battleground states mainly men, white and Latino that voted solely for Trump and not republicans down that secured Trump wins in battleground states when Democrats won senate and statewide measures across those same states

To be sure the last few yrs did more damage, but over my 37yrs as a transwoman, I have seen it when it was bad. This time around it will be a nightmare. Most of the younger trans generation hasn't ever had to use the buddy system " let your friends know what where and when " that's all we had back in the 80's. Now we have the same thing, BUT we have cell phones... All trans people should have their phones set for every picture taken to go to the cloud which friends or family members have access to. It's not if you will have a problem it's when, and in the worst case scenario what is left behind to identify those who committed the crime. When a person shows interest, and states can we keep this DISCRET "HUGE RED FLAG". If you go to meet someone for the 1st time make sure you get a picture of the lic plate if they are in a car. Yes for the next 4 years and into the future Trans people will be the target by everyone without a doubt. If you have to fight YOU DAMN WELL FIGHT LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. I know this from experience, I am no priss by any meaning of the word and have fought quite a bit in my life, but these last few yrs I've had to defend my self many more times then I had in the previous yrs. Last thing I will tell any Trans person is you were courageous enough to Transition you're stronger than you think in mind and body never give in or doing something foolish to yourself. Prepair yourself for whats coming they are saying the quiet parts out loud now.

As per Rogan's interview, under 5,000 during whatever that 5 year period was, something like 2016-2020, were undergoing puberty blockers and/or hormone therapy. This data pretty much aligns with that. There is something like an estimated 72 million minors, people under the age of 18, in the country. The idea that this is an epidemic, and that the idea's been allowed to flourish, is fucking tragic. What's worse, is that you have to believe not just the dogshit narrative, but that, in order for that to take place, virtually everyone you meet is some kind of monster that's perfectly satisfied with surgeries for kids on a lark. Couple that with the fact that even those that are primed to believe it should know better, just based on the cost of absolutely ANY medical procedure in this country, and you have a contender for one of the most asinine and brain dead moral panics this country has engaged in, with it's storied history of moral panics.

It's infuriating how much focus the DNC has taken on promoting "centrist" "moderate" candidates, when "centrist" and "moderate" mean capitulating to milder forms of right-wing policies. "center" is utterly meaningless if we use it to only refer to the exact middle between 2 positions. If one party is for race-based slavery and the other party is for racial segregation, our "center" position is invariably cruel and inhumane. It's been so frustrating to me how measures of objective reality, such as the consensus of experts in fields, medical research, and study are not weighed at all in measures of what's "center".

This time around people saw the expanded social safety net get reeled in by the Dems. We saw them lift a large number of families out of poverty - and then drop them right back into it without a fight. We saw reports of corporate price gouging and not a whisper of a windfall profits tax. Economic pain was inflicted on the people in the name of fighting inflation. Housing became increasingly unaffordable. And then you had the atrocities in Gaza. People didn't want to support Trump, but they also didn't see much of value in Biden's administration after the last 4 years - and Kamala was part of that admin and made no real moves to distance herself from it.

People who recognized the danger of Trump but stayed home anyway will have blood on their hands as a result of their selfishness. Though I don't imagine that many of them will ever have the self awareness to recognize this, given their propensity for putting their ego above critical thinking and a risk of discomfort.

These people know she was the lesser of two evils, but that didn't matter to them, the negativety that the President Elect spew doesn't effect some people, because in their minds, he's not talking negative about them, so they overlook the stuff he says

@@jamescash887 Anecdotally in states like MI PA WI AZ margins were generally less than 200K votes. My godmother hates Trump but she def has some out of touch attitudes on race and wouldnt be surprised if she didnt vote at all. Many voters like that exist in these states. In Wisco black Mandela Barnes lost by a slim margin while white Tony Evers won reelection in 2022. Trump got more than Harris by 100K plus in PA while white Bob Casey lost by only 15K votes. Reps def made gains with minorities but theres a few exanples of white candidates outperforming or winning office in tight states while people of color did not.

@@kellyligman8678 The math: 18 million votes "missing". A. 1/5 of black men voted for Trump. The other 4/5 didn't vote. That's a fact in evidence. There's 4 million. Now it's 14 million. B. Latinos as a whole went for Trump in a 20 point swing. There's 7 million votes. 7m to go. C. College students. Trump dominated the college male vote. He got 40 percent of the white female college vote. Up 33%. He got roughly 42 percent of the total female college vote. Up almost 15 points and 4O%. Add the uncommitted movement and the pro Gaza groups who sat out. There's your other 7 million and then some. But wait, there's more!!!! Over 6 million voters from 2020 were removed this election. 2 reasons. They died/were already deceased in 20 and unqualified to vote. 97% voted Biden. Several districts in 2020, mostly in PA, GA and MI reported more votes than voters registered. So, 18 million votes didn't "vanish". Roughly 8 million did. By that math, that means there were roughly 2 million votes in 2020 that didn't technically exist because 6 million of them were disqualified or removed.

From my perspective, I didn’t like the way the Dems handled the nomination. I complained about it up till like a month before the elections, and frankly voting for Kamala felt like a capitulation. Biden was elected with a mandate and he did nothing with it till he was bullied off the ticket. I don’t like how the Democratic Party handles its business internally. We complain about access media all the time, but we keep our mouths shut about access politicians cause we’re afraid of our own party losing ground if we expose the rot on OUR side.

Absolutely it could have had an effect, but the polling on Biden was ABSOLUTELY DIRE man. Harris lost by 1%? Biden was projected to lose by FOUR. If she was allowed to talk like Bernie and the media also didn't stuff a knife in her back, I think she would have won. Heck, even if she was allowed to be herself on TV and didn't have to act like a robot terrified of going off script would have made more people like her, as a person... People don't live in the real world, we live in an abstraction of it built up in our heads. The media we input decides a lot of what we think and feel: the primary divide on people's opinions is in that. Boomers and Gen-X live inside the world of tv, millennials and younger live inside the world of the internet. Honestly tho, the strong sexists and racists aren't voting democrat in the first place. ... though I do always wonder if a Ben Carson or fellow pokemaster Herman Cain could have been allowed to be their candidate. Cain did the whole swordfish schtick to not offend the insecurities of his base. ("Why, I'm just a harmless clown fellas!") While Carson's voice was like a cult leader's. I really only think they'd have a shot if Mitt Romney types were their only competition... but even that is a bit surprising. People are weird and complicated. .... man I *really* liked Herman Cain. As a parasocial entertainer on the TV. His policies were the same as the others...
