In the battleground states Harris was basically equaled to Biden’s totals in 2020. If Trump had the same support as in 2020 Harris would have won every battleground states except Arizona and North Carolina. Even if all third party votes went to Harris it wouldn’t have changed anything. Even turn out was higher in battleground states than in 2020. Even if Harris had the same percentage support of Arabs in Michigan as Biden did it wouldn’t have changed the results. I know you want to believe that the uncommitted movement did this but there is no facts to it. Maybe in other states that had these dynamics you wish but in the battleground states that actually decided the presidency it wasn’t the case. As per Rogan's interview, under 5,000 during whatever that 5 year period was, something like 2016-2020, were undergoing puberty blockers and/or hormone therapy. This data pretty much aligns with that. There is something like an estimated 72 million minors, people under the age of 18, in the country. The idea that this is an epidemic, and that the idea's been allowed to flourish, is fucking tragic. What's worse, is that you have to believe not just the dogshit narrative, but that, in order for that to take place, virtually everyone you meet is some kind of monster that's perfectly satisfied with surgeries for kids on a lark. Couple that with the fact that even those that are primed to believe it should know better, just based on the cost of absolutely ANY medical procedure in this country, and you have a contender for one of the most asinine and brain dead moral panics this country has engaged in, with it's storied history of moral panics.

That stupid leftoid talking point has to die eventually. This is completely ahistorical. This has the same energy like people saying leftists like fascists because the communists sided with the nazis in the early days. In most cases liberalism is the first line of defense against authoritarianism. And this talking point becomes even more absurd if you consider the last election, where liberals were more anti Trump, while leftists chose to take shots more at the dems for not being "good enough". If we agree that Trump is the real threat to democracy, that would mean that leftists helped the fascists again, while liberals were trying to save the day, even by voting for a mediocre candidate.

@@kev792 Voters' concerns about immigration were entirely manufactured and based on disinformation. I'm with you on the inflation and economics, though. Economic indicators showed that inflation was coming down under Biden and we narrowly avoided a recession, but this doesn't reflect the experiences of every day Americans: if prices went up 20% because of "inflation", and the inflation rate goes down, that doesn't matter if prices are still up 20%. At that point, campaigning on falling inflation just feels like a form of gaslighting.

Nah, Hillary and the Dems alienated voters in 2016 by colluding against Bernie. They were all so smug and absolutely certain they would beat Trump, they tossed aside votes. I mean, she didn't even bother visiting key swing states. 2020 saw a rise in young voters and mail in ballots countered Republicans voter suppression tactics such as shutting down all but a handful of voting centers per county. In 2024, Biden only stayed in the race as long as he did to avoid primaries. Kamala has never been popular. Her time as DA in California was atrocious. The only reason Biden won is because Trump dropped the ball with covid, motivating a lot of people to get him out. This time around people saw the expanded social safety net get reeled in by the Dems. We saw them lift a large number of families out of poverty - and then drop them right back into it without a fight. We saw reports of corporate price gouging and not a whisper of a windfall profits tax. Economic pain was inflicted on the people in the name of fighting inflation. Housing became increasingly unaffordable. And then you had the atrocities in Gaza. People didn't want to support Trump, but they also didn't see much of value in Biden's administration after the last 4 years - and Kamala was part of that admin and made no real moves to distance herself from it.
