The problem with populists like Trump is that they really do promise the world.. and nobody can ever deliver that. And even if they were do deliver on every single thing they promised, new problems with show up in society and the public will shift focus and be angry with him for letting those problems arise and they'll lose some support and the left will win for a bit.

Every time a side, *any* side says "the other side will never win again", it inevitably happens eventually. Remember how long one party was out of majority in Congress? One had to wait until the *1980s* to regain a majority.

I also remember the North winning the civil war and the restoration act being promised to the freed slaves and natives alongside the Americans who fought for Lincoln's RP, only for him to get his, his traitorous vice undoing the restoration act eventually and the Jim Crow laws getting into power for over a hundred years. What I'm saying is that people talk. What is put on paper is what actually matters.
@seanmatthewking27 күн бұрын
@Dfmrcv. It's just a stupid way to think about politics. Political Parties don't stand for anything at their core. It won't happen overnight, but a party will shed everything they ever stood for to win. And if they don't, they'll be replaced. You can say ideologies die, but really they just morph until the impulses behind the ideologies find a form that gains steam again.

@@droptableaccount1820 You're saying that as though it's something set in stone. It's not. You need to win more elections than one before you get to talk about historic realignments. Trump didn't even win the majority vote. After Obama obliterated the Republicans in the presidential elections, Trump came along and reinvented the party in his image. But, just like Obama, he's not interested in building out the party structure. It's just a vehicle for him. Congressional MAGA Republicans endorsed by Trump routinely lost their elections, and that remained true in 2024. The Republican party has been hollowed out, just like the Democrats were in 2015. When people get tired of the MAGA shit, Republicans will find themselves with a Hillary Clinton situation in 2028. Watch 2026 as a sign of things to come for both parties.

Destiny uses the same dodge every time. So pushing back on trans stuff is silly because it’s only 1% of pop. But if that’s the case why are we redefining womanhood by that exact same point? Let’s not make life harder for 50% of the pop for 0.01%. It feels like gaslighting, we care because male and female is a huge part of practically sorting society and it’s a huge change. Pro trans people need to actually serious address what a massive change they’re pushing for and stop gaslighting and asking why do you care so much? Destiny keeps doing the same pivot.

Left wingers don’t comprehend this is a denial of *objectivity* and thus they are setting a precedent akin to opening Pandora’s box. They don’t acknowledge that “1984” is based on Orwell’s real world experience living under a communist dictatorship. And in that book, he explores the principle problem of his life under communism and applies it to the book’s setting: In the book, and in his experience, everyone is *enforced* to doublethink, thus *compelled* to doublespeak, as every single *fact* exists via double a standard of logic and truth filtered through the state. There is no objectivity because the state doesn’t allow it; Big Brother is truth; Big Brother is God. They don’t comprehend how horrific the consequences of this precedent actually are in the long term. They never look at the big picture.

Personally I think Kamala got alot more softball interviews with legacy media while trump got softball with new media or internet/podcast interviews. I think the main reason it "seemed" hard for Kamala was that she wasnt able to actually answer the questions but danced around them with catch phrases. Meanwhile Trump would just straight up say He doesnt have a concrete policy or he had a "idea of policy" or w/e he would say. Destiny is just making excuses for a bad candidate.

In all honesty, the redacted and Mr redacted drama should be something that Destiny should be proud of. And I'm not saying that out entirely out of malice. That content was fire.

I've never had a negative experience at the dmv or the post office. I feel like these are just convenient scapegoats for frustrated people who dont actually have any specific, legitimate complaints.

you need to widen your aperture so your depth of field get larger. With the camera set up at an angle to the guests, its very hard to get both of them in focus unless you stop down pretty low. Let me know if you want some help or to talk camera stuff.
@connerpaul940126 күн бұрын
I think the reason Republicans don't call out Trump is because they're more concerned about how they feel vs getting stuff done. Trump represents whatever Republicans want so even if he does nothing Republicans get to live out their delusions that all their problems are solved.

@jonmacdonald219325 күн бұрын
ah yes, let me insert some reason that makes the other side look as bad as possible, but isn't actually saying anything. Republicans don't call trump out because they want to win the election its really as simple as that. Republicans have something we like to call group cohesion, and liberals do not. That is why the term "the left eats their own exists"
@Neillybob6323 күн бұрын
IKR? Just the other day A Republican told me men can't get pregnant, women can't inseminate and that there aren't 11,314 different genders.... I mean, just how delusional is that?

This is the most factual thing said on Destiny's channel. Or working class people vote for help every chance they get. Which is why they vote for Dems sometimes and Repubs other times. 99% of online political commenters have never experienced being poor in their entire lives. They then complain about about the poor people.
