Obviously since Anna is French she shouldn`t have problems with reading the letters. But speaking from experience as someone who has read French documents regarding my ancestors from the late 1800`s, the handwriting is somewhat challenging to say the least. It can get frustrating at times, so I wish her luck, lol.

You have some really nice wallpaper patterns there Ed, I hope you’ve taken some good pictures of them especially the one with the green, red and white? Stylized floral pattern one . I’m sure Anna would be able to do something artistic with the photos maybe turn them into a fabric or even reprinted wallpaper! Well EDD. IM SUSPICIOUS... Having letters sent to job... either HE was having an AFFAIR or Corresponding with a lady his family didn't approve of. Either way. He HID the letters in the ceiling or attic.🫢🤐🤔

OR... he was a man who moved about often & that was the only way for family, friends etc to correspond with him. The permanent occupant renting out a room to him when he was in the area, was holding his correspondence until his return (hiding it from other short-term tenants)... but he never made it back. @@boessheila50

At about 2:10 and elsewhere . . . I can't tell from the video but how old are those lace curtains? The fringe and border on them makes me wonder. If recent, then nothing. However, if they are vintage or antique, you might want to give them a careful wash and either sell or repurpose them. Antique lace is one of those things that gets overlooked in renovations and they often are mistaken for the cheaper machine made stuff. Might be worth a look. Oh, and, please, wear gloves like Louis does

I really could not see the potential at first. But by knocking down walls and letting light in, I can see it now! Good work today! I think we all got a scare when the ceiling started coming down. Safety always comes first. I would let the letters try out somewhere safe then go through them date by date. Perhaps a mother or father hiding unwanted love letters from a child or vice versa. Could be interesting.
