Samur and Samurai, Shiras-Shirasai and Shirasaya, Mur, Mura Mas and Muramasa, Katan and Katana is NOT and never we’re a japanese words !!! Samurai’s were never japanese ! Even the word "Japan" is not theirs! The words as for example "Fukusima" or "Fujiyama" in their japanese language means NOTHING except as a proper names, these are just the words that they heard from Samurai’s language. 🤷♂️ Since when did a Samurai become a "Japanese" ?!?😉😆😁

It’s pretty difficult to actually see a good photo or video of either the muramasa or masamune swords. Thanks so much for this video, I’ve always wanted to see the muramasa’s blade because of how significant it was in the history of katanas. It would be great if there was a great video like this showing us a masamune blade too but for now I’m content with this video. Thank you very much 😊 👍🏾

@augustonthefly3 жыл бұрын
"Blood groove" isn't even a thing. Fullers which is what they are actually called serve no purpose other than making a blade lighter and faster. Fullers remove weight, thats it. Nothing to do with blood.
@TimpaLinkosling3 жыл бұрын
@@augustonthefly I have heard this story. As well as the story of the blood. But I have no experience with that.
@OldNavajoTricks3 жыл бұрын
The fuller also adds a torsion effect to help prevent flexing, never seen two on one blade though until now.

No wonder if these small katana was haunted. Other than slaying enemies, the small katana's main purpose is to commit harakiri, a form of suicide. The previous owner might fallen by that same sword.

Master Jakub is at the very least preserving authentic japanese swords, while honouring the craftsmen and the traditions which formed them. He gives us a glimpse into a world that is misunderstood because people are misinformed and have a wrong idea of what a "samurai" actually was. If anybody is a "samurai" in this day and age I would count him among them.
